Position Summary:

The Alternatives Systems Team is responsible for supporting and providing
advanced tools to analyze, value, trade, and risk manage a broad spectrum of
products and assets used by the Asset Allocation, Commodities and Hedge
Funds Investment teams. In addition this team supports the firm's OTC
Derivatives Platform for Fixed Income, Equity, Commodity, and Currency OTC
derivatives used throughout the firm's portfolio management, trading, and
operations. Members of the Alternatives team play critical roles in firm's
success by providing proprietary technology solutions and supporting vendor
applications which assist in complex investment decision-making, streamline
trading, reduce operational risk, and improve efficiency.

The Lead Systems Analyst (Quantitative Analysis), Alternatives Systems will
be responsible for developing custom pricing model and advanced analytics
for derivative instruments across all asset classes.

A successful candidate will have a solid background in math, advanced
knowledge of financial modeling and practical experience in financial
engineering working with derivative instruments in addition to a solid
understanding of a broad range of technology solutions, and outstanding
client management skills.

Responsibilities:

* Work closely with investment and trading professionals to
understand business problems and to create effective technical solutions.

* Perform detailed analysis of analytical/quantitative problems,
develop model prototypes, and provide guidance to the technical development
teams.

* Participate in full-cycle software development including
regression testing, deployment, and support of new tools.

* Be an "expert" in derivatives analytics and pricing methodologies

* Stay abreast of the "state of the art" as it relates to
investment practice, both within Wellington and throughout the industry

Required Skills and Competencies:

* A minimum of five years of experience in the investment industry,
ideally with an asset manager, a hedge fund, or an investment bank.

* Demonstrated understanding of equity, fixed income, commodity,
and FX derivatives structure and attributes, quantitative concepts, and
related front-office investment processes.

* Very good knowledge of math (linear algebra, statistics, advanced
calculus) and its applications to financial engineering

* Experience in financial engineering and derivatives instruments
modeling

* At least seven years of application designing and programming
experience using Matlab, Java, Python, or R. Comfortable in numerical
programming.

* Knowledge of Microsoft tools is a plus.

* Previous experience with Calypso, Murex or similar vendor
Derivatives system will be a big plus

* Hands-on knowledge of SQL and relational database technology.

* Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

* Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical
production environment.

* Strong delivery focus and ability to overcome obstacles.

* Advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, physics,
statistics or another quantitative field.

* CFA/FRM charter, or work towards one is strongly preferred

The Web Development Lead is responsible for developing and supporting
enterprise-class web applications using all available front-end
technologies. Candidates must have extensive experience working in

We are seeking candidates for a Lead Systems Analyst position who will work
closely with business and technology teams in defining, implementing and
supporting complex technology solutions to multiple business problems.

Responsibilities:

* Build and maintain strong client relationships across multiple
business teams

* Engage investment professionals at all levels to proactively
identify opportunities for new/improved systems to assist in the multi-asset
class investment process

* Actively participate in the analysis of requirements, detailed
functional design, test, deployment, and support of new technology solutions
implemented

* Coordinate with teams across the IT department in technical
design, solution identification & evaluation, and final candidate selection

* Provide guidance to the development team on solution design,
priority and delivery method

* Provide ongoing issue tracking, error resolution and status
reporting

* Stay abreast of the "state of the art" as it relates to
technology trends and business processes, both within the firm and
throughout the industry

Required Skills and Competencies:

* Technology leader with a record of success in a large-scale,
high-growth, high-transaction rate, complex environment. Ideally, the
individual will come from a global financial services organization, with a
strong preference for asset management and/or Capital Markets

* 7+ years of trading or investment environment experience with a
minimum of 3 years proven experience leading technology initiatives
supporting Equity, Fixed Income, Commodities, or Derivatives asset classes

* Demonstrated experience in business analysis for medium to large
initiatives including knowledge of software requirements gathering
processes, and rapid technology solution development

* Proven hands on project management skills with full cycle
(iterative and incremental) development experience and a proven track record
in managing various components of a large-scale system across multiple teams

* Proven software development experience and in-depth understanding
of the full software development life cycle

* Demonstrated client focus and relationship management skills

* Strong strategic thinker with a track record of innovation and
transformation to support business growth

* Experience working in an interdependent, team-oriented
environment in which effectively managing resources and relationships
outside of one's direct control is critical to success

* Guided by the highest levels of integrity, ethical and
professional standards

* Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement

* Team player who works collectively toward common goals and
objectives

* Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively

* Excellent written and verbal communications skills

* Hands-on knowledge of SQL and relational database technology

* Bachelor's degree is required

* CFA charter, or work towards one is strongly preferred

Keys to this Role

1. We are seeking a strong development background (i.e. Java/Oracle) as well
as Analyst skills. The ideal Candidate will have been a developer in the
past, has stayed technical and now has been a Systems Analyst over the past
2 to 3 years.

2. Domain knowledge: Solid experience in the front office (ideally hedge
funds but we will also look at fixed income, equities or derivatives). We
will also look at certain back office functions such as derivative and hedge
fund Operations.

3. Demonstrated leadership experience.

4. Technical: SQL (ideally PL/SQL).

5. Excellent communication skills are required as this individual will be
interfacing directly with the business.
