Responsibilities include plan, coordinate and attend NJFC meetings and events. Responsible for logistics, venue contracts, reservations, promotion utilizing social media networks; budget;  maintain computerized database; assist with central file system; and support Government Affairs team.

 

Qualifications: 

 

Two to five years of experience in event planning, coordination and promotion. Advanced experience with social media.  Excellent written and oral communication skills, an extroverted personality, and desire to network in the New Jersey business community. Some travel, mostly inside the State of NJ, is necessary. This position also requires an ability to thrive in a small office setting with a fast paced environment, balance many projects at once, multitask and exercise good time management.

Position Summary:

This individual will help rewriting the in-house Enterprise Reporting
platform, a Java enterprise application for scheduling daily batch and
interactive reports. The individual will work within a project team to
understand design requirements, help developing technical designs, test
cases/scripts, and developing solutions and delivery of reporting projects.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for UI design, implementation, deployment and support
of the next generation of the in-house Enterprise Reporting solution.

* Work with project team to understand requirement, refine the UI
requirement and design, and provide the integration to the backend.

Required Skills and Competencies:

* Hands-on experience on the following technologies would be
required for day-to-day operations from the on-boarding day:

* Expert in java scripts, including Bootstrap/Angular/JQuery and
related libraries and plugins

* Familiar with UI design methodologies and concept for web based
application

* Understand RESTful Web Services and previous integration
experience

* Team-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to operate with less than perfect information and make
quick decisions when necessary.

* Experience in working with offshore development teams required.

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or other related field.

Keys to this Position:

1) Strong web based UI design and development experiences are a must.
RESTful Web Services integration is a plus.

2) Strong experience with JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap and AngularJS

3) Familiar with modern UI design methodologies and philosophies

4) At least 3 year industrial UI design and development experience for
relatively complicated system

5) Experience with Web UI development that supports mobile devices

Position Summary:

As member of Investment Administration Applications, this individual will be
responsible to lead the Security Master Development team to design, develop,
and implement enhancements and maintenance changes to the custom built
application software, including Oracle Forms and Java based applications,
and packaged software, including Markit EDM.

In this role, the individual will participate in all design and development
activities to successfully deploy new systems and enhancements. The Lead
Software Engineer is a hands-on development role and a mentor to other team
members. Currently, an implementation of a New Security Reference Data
platform is underway using Markit EDM. This is a great opportunity to join
my client's team and design lasting solutions to build the new generation
Security Master.

Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include:

Provide leadership to the development team supporting the existing Security
Master applications

* Participate in architecture, design, implementation, deployment,
and support efforts across all reference data applications

* Work with business team members, project managers/analysts, other
software engineers to review and qualify business requirements, functional
specifications, use-cases, and test plans

* Design, prototype and author code for software components and
applications based on functional specification and optimize them for
performance

o Recommend system designs and incrementally improve the maintainability
and functionality of the existing system

o Provide practical technical solutions to various business problems

o Deliver solutions balancing the technical needs of the application with
prioritized business requests

o Participate in the team as a developer and leader

Provide leadership to the development team engaged to build the Markit EDM
application

* Lead the design and development efforts of the team

* Create standards and best practices for the development team to
follow

* Become an expert on the Markit EDM tool and provide this
technical expertise to others on the team

* Participate in the team as a developer and leader

* Clearly communicate with all members of the team

* Articulate and document design decisions and technical concepts
concisely and in an organized manner

* Proactively identify major issues, risks, and dependencies, and
manage them to minimize impact to the overall implementation

Required Skills and Competencies:

Related (8+ years) software development experience, with methodologies such
as Agile. Experience in Financial services preferred.

Creativity, attention to detail and leadership skills

* 8+ years in core Java development which includes web services,
multi-threading and data processing

* 8+ years demonstrated experience developing web applications and
services using SPRING, JDBC, JMS, JSP, and Javascript

* 4+ years of proven analysis and technical design, development,
and architecture experience in a database application environment

* Experience with Elastic Search, JSON, XML, UNIX/Linux, and
AngularJS is helpful

* Experience working on various technologies on AWS like S3, SQS,
SNS, cloud formation is nice to have

* 2+ years leading technical teams including managing an offshore
development team

* Ability to solve problems in a logical, methodical, and time
efficient manner

* Ability to understand legacy in-house applications and highly
complex and interrelated systems and processing

* Hands-on development experience in some of the following
technologies: SQL Server, Oracle, Java, UNIX. Markit EDM experience would be
a plus

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the
ability to write technical documentation

* Flexibility: ability to work independently and in a team
environment

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

Keys to this Role:

1) Technical: Strong hands-on core Java development skills along with
WebServices. Markit EDM and AWS (Amazon Web Services) would be a plus.

2) The role is 75% hands-on and 25% Technical leadership. This
individual will lead a team of 8 to 10 consultants (on/offshore model).

3) We will consider a strong senior developer without the leadership
piece.
