Overview
Our client is looking for a Front-end / Javascript Developer who will build and support high-profile, highly interactive, extremely fast customer-facing web and mobile applications using expert knowledge of core web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript). The individual will collaborate with design and engineering team members to deliver these apps in highly scalable ways, integrating well-designed front-end architectures with template frameworks and complex back-end data and content management systems.

This 6-month W-2 contract is located in Stamford, CT

Required Skills / Experience
* 5-7 years of developing and delivering customer facing web or mobile experiences
* Expert knowledge of front-end web technologies including HTML5, CSS, AJAX, DOM Scripting, and W3C DOM methods and properties
* Extensive work with JavaScript and CSS Frameworks (like JQuery,Twitter/Bootstrap) and JS micro frameworks (Handlebars experience a plus)
* Must be able to show portfolio or examples of sophisticated front-end solutions
* Strong skills in object-oriented design as applied to user interface development including software design patterns, MVC architecture, and deployment architectures
* Deep knowledge of web UI architecture and presentation layer technologies such as JSP, XHTML, and Freemarker template language
* Strong understanding and experience with data manipulation technologies such as web services, REST, JSON, SOAP, XSD, and XML
* Experience with developing for mobile form factors and/or progressive enhancement techniques
* Technology implementation experience in a Java environment
* Strong ability to translate requirements into quick prototypes for iterative user feedback
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and group presentations)
* Extensive experience with custom WordPress solutions (themes, plugins, Etc)

Nice To Have
* Solid understanding of mobile UI design and best practices, application architecture principles (client-side scripting, web service tiers, database storage, caching, etc)
* Experience with native or hybrid mobile app development experience (PhoneGap a plus)
* Experience using standard development frameworks such as Hibernate, Spring, Struts
* Experience with XML technologies like XSD, XSL, XPATH

Position Summary:

Required Skills and Competencies:

 SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
This project team develops and supports the framework functionality of the client's system. Client's team develops and operates systems on behalf of the State. Client's team will be responsible for the project management and oversight of this project.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Software Engineer is responsible for assessing, designing, developing, supporting and implementing the client project and any other projects assigned. This position will work under the direction of Client's technical project manager and technical lead for support & maintenance of all new technology development work.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• IBM Curam Social Management Platform experience.
• At least 2 years of Curam development in "RULES" of the Curam framework.
• Software Engineering: Design and develop Java applications incorporating industry-standard frameworks where appropriate (such as Spring or Struts or Hibernate). plus. If they are at Manager level, they need to be able to be a roll up

Skills and Qualifications:
