[itroundtable] LEAD: PM - Active Dir Migration - Hlth System - NYC

 

Major health system in NYC has an immediate need for an Execution PM for their current Active Directory Migration. This position is responsible for the execution and post support of this project.

The Project Manager plans, manages and coordinates project activities to ensure goals and objectives of a mid-sized project, or multiple phases of a large project are accomplished within the specified time-frame and funding parameters. This position includes supporting the current Active Directory Migration project (gathering, defining and documenting requirements, tasks and budgets) and their execution (running and managing of the projects) as well as post migration support.

Responsibilities include:

Reviews project plan to determine time-frame, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements and allotment of resources to various phases of the project.
Establishes work plan and staffing for each project phase and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project staff.
Confers with project staff to outline work plan and assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority.
Manages activities of project staff to ensure project progress is on schedule and within budget.
Reviews status reports and modifies schedules and/or plans as required.
Prepares and presents project reports for management, clients or others.
Confers with project staff to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
Coordinates project activities with organizations or agencies outside the health system.
Tracks actual performance against planned project performance, analyzes variances, and work with project team to ensure all customer needs are met while maintaining control of the project.

Qualifications:

Program Management Institute (PMI) Certification, preferred.
Project management, communication, presentation, relationship building and strategic planning and implementation skills, required.
Experience with MS Project and Excel required.

Execution PM
• Work with the Wintel team to validate the accuracy of each migration event's data
• Coordinate the migration time-line for department groupings within a migration event
• Ensure SME resources are allocated and scheduled for the migration event
• Monitor and report on migration progress
• Escalate issues as they arise
• Handle 2 to 3 migrations per week

Post Migration Support PM with Execution responsibilities
• Responsible for Day 2 support
• Coordinate on-site support resources for each migration event
• Work with the customer to record and track migration issues to resolution
• Record lessons learned. Coordinate with the team to adjust for lessons learned.
• Coordinate day 3 Help Desk support for each migration event
• As the Day 2 support demands subside, this position will take on PM Execution responsibilities
• Handle 1 to 2 migrations per week

Manages the implementation and consistent delivery of projects to agreed

Works with clients, developers and vendors to determine requirements.
Creates and manages project budget vs. actual expenditures (capital and
expense).
Creates and manages work breakdown structure (WBS) and scheduled project
plan.
Manages and supervises project team resources.
Develops critical path analysis for project implementation.
Responsible for business change management (incl. business process redesign,
training, SOPs).
Manage project scope and timeline through formal change management
processes.
Manages project issues and risks through std issue/risk process.
Communication to stakeholders.
Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with both
technical and non-technical parties.
Ensures compliance with required controls.
Manage projects with dollar values in excess of $500,000.
Bachelor's degree/Technical degree or equivalent requirement.
Master's degree a plus.
PMP, or equivalent certification, required.
Proven experience managing application development projects; strong working
knowledge of common SDLC models.

Good Morning,

I have two SQL positions to fill for next week, before the holiday begins! I am looking to identify possible candidates by Tuesday, to have them start the following week.

Both are with a professional sports organization, so an interest in sports is a plus! (not a must) Both are located in the NYC Metro Area.


1. SQL Server DBA - pretty standard DBA role, someone with experience supporting, installing, tuning and working in a clustered environment. The job would be 6 months + and we could possible hire someone permanent! $40-50/hr 80-90K We don't need a senior person, mid-level is acceptable.

2. SQL Developer – Strong database development skills and SQL Analytics is a must. This can pay in the 60-70hr range.

I wanted to make you aware of an immediate need for Job Modelers with one of our
Fortune 100 customers in Mahwah, NJ. We do pay referral fees should this not be

Job Description:The primary responsibility for the role will be collaborating
with SMEs and LOB Stakeholders to develop job models/job descriptions for
various IT/HR positions. Pay rate is up to $50 an hour.

Successful candidates will possess:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Regular/Frequent
communication with HR, IT, LOB Stakeholders and SMEs to develop and fine tune
job models.
· Strong analytical skills to determine requirements for models based on
high level communicationwith Mgrs(Division level) and SMEs.
· Strong research skills...utilizes a UPS online "competency library" to
determine relevant job duties/tasks/requirements that align w/ position to
establish models.
· Ability to work independently with little supervision.
· Previous job modeling/job description development experience.
