I am looking for a Java Developer (forecast).  Please note the following:

 

Job Description            A major Foreign Bank Holding Company is looking for a Java Developer (forecast) in their New York City office.

 

                                    Main Function

 

                                    Software developer joining a team of analyst/programmers in the global team to develop and maintain the core functionality

                                    Of the trading platform for Stock Loan traders/salespeople/operatins.

 

                                    This is a technical position which requires a good background with software development/design.

 

                                    It's preferred for the candidate to have experience working on large and complex software systems.

 

                                    The Development team is split into a number of  sub-teams that complets units of work for users across the globe.

 

                                    Main Duties

 

                                    Would be expected to carry out all steps of the development lifecycle to deliver changes and new features as follows:

                                    Developing base on the business requirements

                                    Unit / system / regression / performance testing those requirements

                                    Reviewing code produced by others

                                    Working with the business representatives during the UAT stage

                                    Supporting the implementation of each new code release

                                    Working with testing team to ensure comprehensive coverage

                                    Trouble shooting production issues as second line of support for global users.

 

Skills Required              Experience as developer Development of large distributed software systems

 

                                    Experience  with server-side programming

 

                                    Core Jave skills, experience with Java 5

 

                                    XML parsing/processing

 

                                    UNIX/Linux basic skills

 

                                    Relational databases (e.g. Sybase, Oracle)

 

                                    Knowledge of basic design patterns – singleton, factory, etc.

 

                                    Must be able to communicate effectively with other development team members, other project members

 

                                    Good to have the following:

                                    Spring, JMX, JNDI, Web Services, Groovy, Tibco, EMS , Knowledge of rules engines.

 

Salary Range                 This is a temporary postion and the daily rate is based on experience.

Position Description
We has an opportunity for a Senior Systems Administrator in its Finance division.  The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for:
·Provide support to FDC (Comshare); coordinate and track incoming transmissions, post input files, provide first level troubleshooting and ensure files are processed in a timely manner. Adherence to corporate closing deadlines. Night and weekend support required at quarter close.
·Interpret needs and system requirements of users; make recommendations for better alternatives in meeting business requirements.
·Provide first & second-line (backup support for other team members) support to the business and manage the resolution of problems relating to financial applications.  
·Support department plans to upgrade the existing FDC Reporting System to a web-based reporting application. This will include input in outlining the requirements for the new application, document processes and carry out UAT responsibilities over the course of the project
·Ensure systems controls are  carried out in compliance with SEC 404 requirements i.e. per Control Activity guidelines. Documents and records evidencing compliance must be easily understood and readily available for internal and external review.
·Query efficiency of the user community for FDC and other internal applications and expand the user community's knowledge through formal training.
Position Requirements
*Strong demonstrable experience in Finance & Accounting and Financial Accounting applications.
·Effective oral and written communication skills.
·Experience in maintaining Finance & Accounting systems applications, knowledge to support and enhance process.
·Knowledge of the following - FDC Comshare (Financial Consolidation), Computron, SAP, Outlooksoft, Hyperion, Cognos and Microsoft Access
·Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Accounting or Computer science.
·5-10 years experience within a Finance & Accounting environment.
·At least 5 years experience in application design, implementation and financial systems support is required.

As for the Infrastructure manager, it is more of a Sr. Engineer with strong technical skills with some managerial skills. I'm looking for someone to re-setup the environment starting with the core 6500 switches, setting up a new Active Directory domain, setting up Exchange from scratch, implementing a SAN, configuring SQL clusters and databases. The person will also be an operations manager responsible for all of Infrastructure uptime throughout the company. If managerial skills are strong he/she will oversee 3 employees directly plus few more indirectly.
 
Certifications I would like for the person to have are MCSE & CCNP as a must, and any other Cisco voice certification is preferred.

Below are details regarding a contract position in NJ. Please send me your resume in a word doc if you are interested in this position. We can pay $55.00/hr w-2. no corp- corp candidates.
Under the direction of the Network Portfolio Director this individual will ensure the effective delivery of the IT Infrastructure that will upgrade or remediate the network infrastructure and managed the deployment of Performance Management. This position will be responsible for various tasks such as the management and monitoring of LAN/WAN hardware implementation, software upgrades and equipment configurations in support of the Performance Management initiative. This is a 12 month role.
This individual will establish, execute and maintain project plans for their assigned projects and tasks. This individual will contribute toward improved efficiency and quality of the deployment of Velocity based technical solutions to the organization.
Project Manager
• Focus on ensuring flawless execution of project deliverables by utilizing standard methodologies and capabilities
• Lead project review sessions with project managers and the planning office providing project status, identifying issues and recommending solutions
• Strong relationship building and influencing skills along with the ability to effectively communicate to internal and external executives, sponsors and stakeholders
• Manage the project delivery performance against established metrics
• Accountable for ensuring that the program follows the established PM processes and procedures
• Implement global standards, process and procedures and identify areas for improvement
• Ensure creation, review, and management of operational metrics for the Program Management Office
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills are essential
• Leadership, initiative and the ability to manage and deliver concurrent activities and issues are a must
• Participate in the development and execution of communications to Operating Companies
• Interface to other project teams to ensure proper delivery of services (Application Testing, Site Deployment, End User Training, etc) to the Operating Companies
• Identify appropriate resources needed, develop and execute project plans, and assign individual responsibilities
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in Business, or similar discipline or 10+ equivalent years of experience
• Demonstrated successful leadership in managing global deployments while leveraging cross-functional virtual teams
• Strong knowledge of project delivery/methodolog ies
• Proven technical competency with all of ITS's standard technologies
• Strategic thinker that is results driven and displays a sense of urgency
• Strong collaboration skills
• Very good understanding of project plans and proactive risk management
• Sound decision-making while exhibiting credo based values
• Self-driven with strong focus to achieve business results and keen awareness when to escalation project risks and issues
• Hold self-accountable for flawless execution
• Experience with desktop and infrastructure related projects required
• Must be able to analyze requirements and translate them into priorities and executable action plans
• ITIL framework knowledge preferred
• Strong Business Acumen and strong Facilitation/ Presentation Skills are required
