Job Description The world's largest voice and electronic inter-dealer broker is looking for a VB.Net Developer in their office in Jersey City .
Postions Major Responsibilities Highly motivated self starting Software Developer to join a development team responsible for design, development and support Clearing System. The successful candidate must be able to work independent while actively participating in a dynamic global team. The Fixed Income Development Team designs, develops and supports technology solutions for trading and clearing various financial Instruments: US Government, Corporate and Foreign Sovereignty Bonds, Agency Issued and Mortgage Backed Securities and more. Software Developer is expected to become familiar with large existing applications and be able to design and implement additional Features, diagnose and troubleshoot production issues. Developer is expected to follow development process and best practices including formal design, peer code reviews, extensive Design and code documentation, static code analyses etc.
Other Responsibilities Design and Develops software. Provides 2nd level production support. Analyzes and documents existing system. Provides assessments and estimates to business requirements and writing functional specifications. Understands Fixed Income Clearing and business motivation for various application features.
Skills Required Minimum of Five Years Software Development experience. Minimum of two years recent experience developing Visual Basic .NET applications. Strong knowledge Windows Server environment. Knowledge and experience developing with MQ Series applications. Knowledge and experience with Cobra Development. Knowledge and experience with clearing operations. Knowledge of TxPress a DEFINITE PLUS Experience with CyBase. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science is required.
Special Skills Required Excellent oral and written communications. Excellent problem solving analysis. Ability to handle deadlines. Ability to be a team player but leader when work demands. Experience at Financial Service Company.
Salary Range This is a permanent position and will pay up to 120k.
