The
Breakfast Club NJ Presents: George Pace
- "Why should Twitter be part of YOUR social media arsenal?"
Saturday
April 13, 2013 at 8:00 am
It is not too late to plan to
attend this Saturday's Meeting of The Breakfast Club NJ, Saturday
April 13, 2013 at 8:00 am.
Spring is in the air, a time for new beginnings, and new opportunities to
network to that next great position! Get up early this Saturday to
get yourself going, if you don't you will
have missed out on an opportunity to see George Pace and find out "Why
should Twitter be part of YOUR social media arsenal?"
Please share with other groups
you may be in.
I have attended an earlier version of this presentation, and now I am on Twitter, I have 56 followers, and follow 172 others. It seems daunting at first, but George provides you with what you need to get up and start a twitter account and then to Tweet!
The Presentation:
With so little time and so many
social networks to choose from.. Why should Twitter be part of YOUR social
media arsenal? While you may pass Twitter off as just "another
social network you don't have time for", Twitter provides a wide
range of content applicable to any phase of your career
* Identify job opportunities
* Career development
* Extracting value from company
"tweets"
* Conferences and Industry news
The presentation consists of
the following sections:
1. Starting Pace - Defining what
Twitter is and common terminology
2. Establishing a Pace – The
techniques used in creating tweets
3. Current Pace – Examples of how
companies are using Twitter and how to extract value from those tweets
4. Keep Pace – Suggestions for how
you can "Keep Pace" going forward
After which you will be able to
go home and use Twitter. It's an hour you don't want to miss!
About the Speaker:
George Pace has over 32 years
of IT experience spanning a wide range of disciplines and diverse
technologies. While he 'keeps pace' with many different technologies, he has a
particular interest in Social Networking (and the value it potentially provides
to both organizations and individuals) as well as Big Data and its organization
value. Mr. Pace holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Seton Hall
University and an MBA from the Rutgers School of Management.
