Northern Fairfield Professionals(NFP) next meeting is Tuesday April 9.
Our guest speaker Michael Shavel from the CT Department of Labor will
present on "Over 40 and Seeking Employment."

NFP is where people meet to expand their network connections, as well as
learn the tools needed to advance their careers. Business professionals from
all industries and career levels are welcome to attend our monthly meetings.
Our philosophy is to build reciprocal relationships where business
professionals can exchange ideas, job leads, and build networking skills.
We usually have a guest speaker discuss a topic of interest for business
professionals.

Northern Fairfield Professionals (NFP) meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month
from 5:30 - 8 pm. Attendance to NFP is free.
Networking from 5:30-6:30pm with a speaker presentation from 6:30pm to 7:30.
then networking until 8 pm.
Location: The Knights of Columbus building in Newtown CT, located at 46
Church Hill Road; behind Saint Rose church to the far left.
Please go in the entrance for Saint Rose church and drive in back of the
church to the far left.
The building has 3 garage doors on the first floor with the meeting room
upstairs.
The entrance is the door on the left front of the building.

Michael will present on concerns related to job seekers over 40, including:

Demographics, Myths, Stereotypes and Realities Strategies to Overcome
Challenges Positive Attitude and Motivation General Characteristics
(Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Gen X & Millennials) Employer Expectations
Resume & Interviewing


Michael Shavel is a Career Development specialist with the CT Dept of Labor
in Bridgeport, where he provides career counseling, guidance, resume and job
search assistance to a cross section of job seekers. Michael is a Nationally
Certified Counselor and Certified Professional Resume Writer. He is
passionate about helping others and enjoys helping clients find rewarding
careers.

***Attendees to this meeting MUST register with CT Works. If you are not
already registered with them, Michael will have registration forms to fill
out at the meeting. Personal information provided in the form is only used

As the Systems Engineer reporting to the Vice President Interactive Services, your responsibilities will include gathering requirements, generating documentation & drawings, helping to define a project vision and strategy, and working with a skilled team of professionals to execute that strategy. The Systems Engineer is the technical leader for Software, Hardware, Integration, Content Management, and Support Systems for our Enterprise-wide Interactive Patient System and related network infrastructure, which is currently deployed in 300 large healthcare facilities nationally.
Skills & Experience:
• Knowledge of both Health Information Technology (HIT) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems integration
• Understanding of digital cable TV system design/installation of software, hardware, and infrastructure
• Billing and payments systems integration
• Familiarity with business issues
• Willingness to network and promote/build the category
• Ability to work with others to strategize for the long range success of the business
• Ability to be collaborative, work in a project environment with focus on team success
• Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers, assist with Sales calls
• BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred (MS or Ph.D. a plus)
• Minimum of five (5) + years experience
 
*Please Note: it is possible to assume this role without relocation to New York as the company has operations in seven states, and this role requires approximately 25%-35%+ travel.
Compensation & Benefits
• Base $105 - $120 + 5% Annual Incentive

• 401K plan (discretionary match based on company performance)
• Vacation benefit (based on length of service, minimum 10 days per year)
• Holidays (8 days per year) and personal time off (7 days per year)
