Nomad Editions, an exciting digital media startup, has an opportunity for someone interested in working at the intersection of mobile, content and technology. We are looking for a full-time Product Manager to lead and manage the key elements of our infrastructure that are critical to our future growth. These include the publishing systems including our CMS, publishing tools, and App platform; our e-commerce / fulfillment systems; and our website.
Nomad has been in operation for over two years, has established itself as a leader in digital publishing, and is looking for someone to help take it to the next level. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of increasing responsibility in managing complex projects, familiarity with technology and new developments in digital media, and working with cross-functional teams. This person must have strong leadership, organization and planning skills.
The Product Manager will ensure that the technology infrastructure matches the Company's business needs. Department overview
ClearPar is a market standard web-based loan trade processing platform dedicated to the efficient settlement of primary and secondary par and distressed loan trades in both the US and European markets. ClearPar is designed to improve liquidity and efficiency in the loan markets and facilitate trading.
Position Summary
This position is for a highly motivated and solutions oriented individual who will be a member of a strong ASP.NET development team focused on using leading edge technologies to develop and support the ClearPar application.
Duties & accountabilities
? Will be able to work independently and in a small development group.
? Coordinate with QA, BA and product groups to represent the development efforts.
? Coordinate closely with the system architect to create appropriate designs and provide input to the architecture.
? Provide input to requirements regarding development limitations.
? Clearly document software designs before implementation.
? Hands on coding of solution from designs.
Experience Required
? BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 5 years experience or MS with 1 year.
? ASP.NET 3.5 C# (Multithreaded application development experience)
? SQL Server 2000 ? 2008 (Very strong SQL skills, database design, SQL performance optimization techniques)
? HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX, XML
? Visual Studio 2005 ? 2010
? Team Foundation Server
? Experience with development, support and release of database driven software .
? Ability to critically review, debug and diagnose existing application codebase across all application tiers.
? Experience working with messaging technologies such as MQ, JMS, SOAP, FPML is a big plus.

? Familiarity with Agile development process is a plus.
Commercial awareness

Must have a conceptually deep understanding of Oracle and what works and doesnât work. Must have significant experience running a large Oracle database.
