We have been retained by a large private real estate owner and developer located in the Southwestern US to search for a Vice President/Controller. Our client's investments and projects span the healthcare, hotel, office and retail asset classes. The position will report to the CEO with the intent that it will grow into a CFO spot within 3+ years. The responsibilities include the typical Controllership functions including accounting staff management, financial reporting and investor communications and analysis. We are looking for a person who understands the real estate business and can make recommendations for functional and operational improvement in the business lines.
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 to 7 years of real estate finance and accounting experience . A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field required. CPA designation strongly preferred. A generous compensation package being offered for the right candidate.
