Position: Production Manager
Location: Fairfield County, CT
Salary Range: 90K - 110K (DOE) + Annual Bonus 15%

The Schegg Group is seeking a full time solid Production Manager. Our client is the leader in the global dispensing systems industry. They have over half a century of experience operating in the ever-changing consumer packaging world. They are a unique customer and shareholder focused company with proprietary knowledge, technical expertise and a broad product range.
The Production Manager will be responsible for the following:
The management and coordination of assembly operations, ensuring production meets output and quality goals while remaining in budget. The Production Manager will establish shifts and allocate resources to efficiently maintain assembly operations on schedule. The Production Manager is responsible for the training of Assembly Operations employees and the discipline and morale of the staff. The Production Manager will create and maintain documentation to ensure proper execution of production processes and adherence to CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice Regulations)
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

* Strive for customer satisfaction by manufacturing products in respect of company's quality, cost and lead time policies.
* Assign responsibilities, delegate authority, recruit, select, orient and train employees.
* Develop production plan by coordinating requirements with sales, engineering, procurement and logistics department.
* Complete production plan by establishing priorities, scheduling activities and employees, monitoring progress, and resolving problems.
* Provide manufacturing decision-making information by estimating future requirements on labor and machines.
* Maintain manufacturing staff performance level by coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, answering grievances, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
* Achieve financial objectives by preparing Production budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, compiling and reviewing costs and initiating corrective actions.
* Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
* Organize required training (internal and external) for staff.
* Initiate and drive continuous improvement projects following World Class Manufacturing guidelines.
* Ensure that all safety rules and regulations are respected (OSHA)
* Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
* Assure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while insuring product standards that will exceed our customers' expectations.
* Encourage use of new techniques and focus on fact based problem solving.
* Improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes.
* Manage spending against budget, controlling spending in relation to changes in production.
* Work to establish management practices throughout assigned areas which include all employees' positive involvement with opportunity for constructive input and action.
* Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
* Maintain individual skills keeping up to date with the latest production management concepts.
* Determine the human and material resources required to meet production targets.
* Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
* Monitor and review the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement.
* Confer with technical and supervisory personnel to report or resolve conditions affecting safety, efficiency, or product quality.
* Regulate or shut down equipment during emergency situations.
* Notify appropriate personnel to correct equipment malfunctions.
* Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with company procedures, rules and regulations, and report any dangerous situations or malfunction of equipment.
* Participate in product and equipment investigations, report and investigate non-conformities.
* Read fabrication orders and communicate with coworkers in order to determine machine and equipment settings and adjustments, and supply and product specifications.
* Perform quality checks to ensure that products meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
* Ensure the integration of new technologies in the molding process.
* Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirement and equipment layout.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

* BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a production environment.
* Strong industry knowledge of dispensing business.
* Experience within a high volume, injection molded plastics environment required
* Packaging | Container | Dispensing | Manufacturing background highly preferred!
Skills:

* Detail oriented, analytical, reactive, and good interpersonal skills.
* Excellent computer skills utilizing SAP and MS Office.
* Independent, self-motivated.
* Strong leadership and diplomacy.
* Can work well on teams and build strong relationships.
* Open minded and creative problem solver in complex situations.
* Proven ability to communicate with executives, peers, and team members
