I am currently working on a Project Manager position for a client of ours based out of New York, NY. I have enclosed a brief job overview below:

Job Description:
The role is multi-faceted and will be supporting several areas within the IT Service Management Group including:

1. Asset Management: (using Eracent, ILMT & other apps to report on usage of resources, trends and forecasts),

2. Performance Management: (reporting on anomalies, service levels, problem management and recommending resolutions for performance related incidents and problems),

3. Capacity Planning: (UNIX/LINUX, Microsoft/VMware capacity reporting and recommendations on hardware/software increases or reductions) as well as other miscellaneous projects related to Disaster Recovery, new technology assessments, efficicency analysis and cost reduction.

• Superior oral written and communication skills including office tools for use in presentations and documentation.

• Superior business judgment and quantitative analytical ability.

• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment while juggling multiple responsibilities • Self-starter – displays ability to work in an autonomous manner

• Be able to lead team toward department / company goals • 5-7 years technical management of people.

• 7 to 10 years working as an capacity planner and performance analyst, experience with database systems and knowledge of virtualization techniques in mainframe and distributed platforms

• Strong computer systems internals experience with one or more platforms (MVS, CICS, Windows, UNIX), knowledge of tuning products including (SMF/RMF, MXG, BMC, PerfMon, SAS), Eracent, IBM EndPoint Manager, Software Use Analysis, Tivoli Common Reporting, Tivoli Workflow Automation

• Must be flexible and capable of juggling multiple priorities & willing to do what it takes to meet critical deadlines.

• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.

• College degree in a technical field, advanced degree a strong plus.

Job Description:
Project Managers are responsible and accountable for shepherding projects through the Project Lifecycle. They provide enterprise management for all project related activities and are responsible and accountable for the delivery of a project in accordance with the client Project Life Cycle.

Provide Project Management for medium/large projects or other projects as assigned.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

· Interface with business owners to understand their needs and secure appropriate project buy-in/sign-off throughout Life Cycle

· Ensure functional and technical solutions are accepted by the appropriate project role prior to development

· Seek and review input from cross functional team and make final decisions regarding project scope

· Identify, track, and resolve/escalate project issues and/or risks

· Conduct re-planning exercises to correct troubled projects to get the project and it's efforts back in control

· Innovation: generate new ideas and/or new ways to implement the ideas

· Manages and influence individuals as required to achieves goals of projects or program

· Ensure alignment of the projects to the entire Portfolio and ensure consistency and coordinated delivery of projects.

Required Skills:

· 5 years experience with successfully running diverse cross-functional teams

· ****NOTE: Must have solid Project Management skills, processes and methodologies.****

· ****Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required for interactions across organization ***

· Agile PM experience.

· A very in-depth understanding of the PLC

· Solid business knowledge as it relates to the brokerage industry, financial and capital markets

· Ability to handle multiple competing priorities

· Proven abilities in organizational change management and leading large groups

· Experience in facilitating large group meetings

· Experience in presenting to senior management

· Experience in establishing project baselines and tracking to the established baselines

· Experience in planning for and effectively managing project and program risks

· Experience in issues management including identifying, tracking, and resolving/expediting with proactively

· Minimum of 5 years relevant technology and/or financial services experience

· Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience

· Bachelor degree in business, finance, or related field.

· Competent in the technical arena and understanding of system development, process improvement, and/or infrastructure

· PMP Preferred

· Series 7, 63 or 24 is a plus
