SUMMARY
Take an active part in the Software Configuration Management of Fixed
Income's Electronic Trading and Deal Capture Application development
and Maintenance Programme. Your purpose will be to support the
Configuration and Data Management by establishing and maintaining the
integrity of work products using configuration identification,
configuration control, and configuration audits.

Having experience in software development .net\Java will be essential.
This can be in C# , Java , C++. The remit will also be to ensure that
the dev, uat and regression environments are fit for use for New York
use on a day to day basis. This will include reviewing the New York
environments and ensuring that sufficient attention is given to tasks
such as breaks in builds with a view to fix as soon as possible and
keeping the dev team informed of progress. The candidate will be able
to setup .net builds from scratch and have familiarity working with
solution files. Having experience of creating MSBuild files will be
essential.

Server OS : Windows 2003
Workstation: Windows (XP professional)
Development languages : C#\C++, .net, Java
Database : SQL Server, ORACLE 10g
Scripting\Language : Java nant, WSH scripting, Python

Knowledge of the capital markets industry is desirable, but not essential
Knowledge on Databases
Experience in JIRA ( Issue Management tool)
Must approach work with team work in mind and be flexible to change priorities

On Tuesday evening, February 9th, there will be a combined dinner meeting for current members, alumni, and guests of Association of Women in Computing (AWC),  IT-Networking, MIS Network Associates (MNA), Monmouth Networking, The Breakfast Club NJ (TBCNJ), ETP Network, and Careers in Transition (CIT) at the Holiday Inn, Totowa, NJ.
 
The dinner meeting will include a presentation by Rod Colón on his ETP Network.
Networking is having resources at your disposal-people that you can call on to connect you to companies, individuals or information that you need to turn a "cold call" into a "warm call."  How do you develop such resources whether in transition or not?  On the 9th, Rod Colón, who has a real passion for networking, will tell you how.
ETP Network Founder and CEO Rod Colón has a unique perspective on what it takes to succeed in today's global economy.  Rod shares his 24 years of experience as a corporate HR management insider, outside agency recruiter, professional networker, and career coach through a unique, common sense approach to networking and career management. When the solutions are obvious and/or can be readily developed, a routine Kaizen Continuous Improvement approach can be applied using the skills of employees across the organization trained in basic Lean and/or Six Sigma skills.
 
When the solutions to a business problem are not obvious, Lean, Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma or a combination thereof need to be rigorously applied by Business Transformation Leaders who are certified in these respective bodies of knowledge. Determining what skills are required to address a business issue can be decided using the logic flow of the Roadmap below. However, large projects typically require a combination of Lean and Six Sigma tools to be applied while most analyses require the use of sophisticated statistical Six Sigma and Data Mining tools.

For the position of Product Specifications Manager, we're looking for a talented person to work with our team to:

* Create Functional Specifications for all of our current and future products. You'll be working with our developers, product marketers and customers to document the products we'll be creating now and in the future. These documents will be highly detailed, and will be the specifications from which we build software.
* Build screen mockups to demonstrate every feature and change before we write code. These mockups will allow us (and key customers) to test drive the software on paper before we write any code.
* Manage the Specifications throughout the development process. Our process is agile and nothing is set in stone. As our development progresses, you will make sure that the specifications are up to date. This task requires excellent communications and people management skills. We need to reach a delicate balance of the specifications following the developers and the developers following the specifications.
* Verify the work produced by the developers. Does it match the specification?

Responsibilities
You will have overall responsibility for the resolution of all issues
and completion of all tasks associated with Support Services,

business goals.
You will develop, document, implement, monitor, and continually improve
Customer Service support methods, procedures, and processes to achieve
the desired level of customer satisfaction while attaining Delphi gross
margin objectives.
You will develop and maintain accurate and timely reports for the
Delphi management team, including status reports, resource management,
issues status, performance v. revenue and gross margin targets, and
customer satisfaction reports.
You will oversee the primary activities of the customer support staff
to ensure completion of tasks and attainment of department goals.
You will participate in department budgeting and forecasting
(personnel, capital, operational expenses).
You will review reports, forecasts, and analyses to ensure proper
staffing levels within the customer support function.
You will manage personnel activities of customer support staff,
including hiring, training, rewarding, motivation, discipline,
terminations, performance reviews, and pay discussions. You will also
select and assign work and tasks to the appropriate staff members.
Serving as the escalation point for issues beyond the authority of the
customer support function, you will coordinate resolution of conflicts

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Computer Science and ten years of
related experience, at least 3 of which have been at the management
level. Related post-graduate training and/or education desirable.
Excellent knowledge of all customer support areas.

Experience with technical support procedures and tools.
Experience in a large-scale software customer support environment.
Experience with insurance and/or financial services software preferred.
Should be well-versed in current web technology and software.
