Listed below are the upcoming January 2014 NetworkingEvents. All meetings are open to the public, plus you are welcome and stronglyencouraged to attend.

Many of the organizations listed below offer networkingmeetings that convene monthly, semi-monthly, or weekly. Try to attend at leastone or two meetings a week. Many of these groups convene in the evening, so itwill not take time away from your daily job search activities. Plus, they haveinteresting speakers who offer valuable tips on: 1) Resume preparation, 2)Effective job search techniques, 3) Interviewing, 4) Post Interview Follow-up, 5)LinkedIn, 6) Branding, 7) Time Management, and various other helpful job searchrelated topics.

Think of these meetings as opportunities, sort of likegoing to school, to learn something that can reduce your time in transition by gainingknowledge in job search and interviewing skills needed to excel and standout fromyour competition.

Also, in order to maximize your network, try to attendmeetings in different geographical areas, but especially in towns where you aretargeting companies that you would like to work for. Not only will you learnvaluable job search skills, but greatly expand your circle of friends. Whoknows, the person you meet at one of these networking events may be able tointroduce you to a hiring manager at one of your target companies.

In traveling to these events, consider car pooling. Not only will it reduce the cost of drivingthere, but the friendly conversation will make the ride seem to go much faster.

Make it a point to join a fewgroups in your area; what you learn at these meetings will definitely helpshorten your time in transition.

Education/Experience:

- Requires a Bachelor's degree

Systems Administrator – Northern NJ

The Systems Administrator will play a
major role in the evaluation, selection and implementation of wireless
solutions, desktops, servers, cloud solutions, networks and remote plant/office
technologies. The individual will oversee the IT service log and will also be
responsible for all end-user account administration. The position reports into the Director of IT.

Responsibilities

Service
Delivery

• Responsible for the configuration, delivery
and management of all desktop and wireless

hand-held devices.

·
Oversee the helpdesk service log ensuring service levels are met and
quality service is provided; expected to provide performance/baseline reports
from service logs

·
Primary person responsible for providing support to all remote locations

·
Manage all computer, phone and IT equipment inventory (evaluate,
purchase, test, track)

·
Provide emergency after hour coverage as required

Requirements

·
5+ years' experience supporting networks (multi-site) and windows
server environments

·
5+ years providing or managing desktop support with over 100+ stations

·
3+ years' experience supporting MSOffice (word, excel, outlook)

·
Solid experience administering security accounts with Exchange and
Windows AD

·
Recent hands-on experience supporting wireless and mobile technologies
(Androids and iPhones)

·
Full understanding of cabling technologies and premise wiring (voice,
data, video)

·
2+ years' experience supporting phone systems – cloud based VoIP a big
plus

·
Some experience working with and supporting SharePoint

·
MCSE or CCNA certified is a plus

Other requirements

·
Must be willing to travel to plants and office location in the tri-state
area when required

·
Must be available to provide afterhours emergency coverage for
critical production systems and environments

·
Must be able to prioritize and multi-tasks workloads and projects

·
Must have proof of citizenship or permanent residence status

·
B.S. degree or equivalent work experience
