Position Summary
My client is currently expanding the capabilities of their products in
several new areas. The Senior GUI C# Developer is a full-time position,
working on developing the user interface and related software.
Responsibilities:
· Influence and impact the architecture, standards, and design of
key product initiatives for applications in C#/WPF and Java services
· Contribute as a Sr. individual contributor within a team of top
engineers
· Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment
Required Skills and Competencies:
· BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
· 5+ years of commercial software development, proficient in
developing multi-tier solutions
· Minimum 2-3+ years of C# experience, focused on windows forms
(winforms); WPF experience highly desirable
· Solid C# GUI programming, ADO, SOAP, XML, and SQL database
programming
· Strong with OO design and development
· Experience with Java and web services is ideal
· Financial industry experience is ideal but not required; specific
development experience of a financial application a huge plus
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), good
interpersonal skills, ability to gather and understand requirements in the
financial sector
· Sr. Individual Contributor considered the top within their
organization
· Product delivery experience being a key player in developing and
supporting commercial software products which were sold to non-technical
customers in vertical markets.

· Partner with Business Analysts to review and implement business
requirements
· Partner with Project Managers, Technical and QA Leads on
estimates, statuses, identify issues and raise risks
· Stay current with evolving Trading industry and technical trends
to ensure systems and team are of highest caliber
Required Skills and Competencies:
· Four to Eight year of GUI development using Microsoft technologies
· Four years of .net development experience using C#
· Solid experience with the .net frameworks version 3.5/4.0 or
greater
· WPF or WinForms is required (Client uses WPF) WCF is a plus.
· Strong analysis, design and modeling skills
· Strong knowledge and experience with message technologies (e.g.
MSMQ, ActiveMQ)
· Knowledge of software development and testing methodologies and
their effective application
· Strong motivation and ability to work in a fast-paced,

· Candidate must have excellent communication skills and proven
