Hedge Fund Accounting & Operations Analyst. Global hedge fund. Boston, MA. Requires: Min. 3 years of accounting exp within the financial services industry. Hedge fund or private equity accounting experience a plus. Our client is a highly respected Boston-based hedge fund, seeking analysts to join a dynamic operations team and become experts in the diverse business challenges of a global hedge fund. Successful candidates are creative problem-solvers and self-starters who have the proven ability to produce results. Analysts at the company use strong analytical skills to identify risks and propose solutions that will positively impact the company's long-term growth and success. Attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, quantitative reasoning ability, and a rigorous work ethic are prerequisites. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Collateral and tax optimization · Bank financing negotiations · Management of multi-asset class trade settlement processes · Portfolio valuation · Hedge fund corporate and legal structuring · Building a knowledge base of the differing legal, trading, and operational implications of investing in a wide variety of financial instruments and markets. Requirements and preferences for this role include: · At least 3 years of accounting experience is required specifically within the financial services industry. · Bachelor or graduate degree. · GPA requirement: 3.5 GPA or higher. Standardized test score requirements: at least 700/800 (88 percentile) on Math/Quantitative portion of SAT or GMAT exam; at least 500/800 on verbal and writing portion. · Experience in hedge fund accounting and/or public accounting experience is a plus. · CPA/CPA track is a plus. Rochester, NY 14623 Fedcap is currently seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to provide support to their Easter Seals New York Diagnostic & Treatment Center located in Rochester, New York. This role will provide medical billing and operations support to ensure accurate billing for services rendered and audit controls to ensure eligibility and compliance with the New York State Office of Mental Health Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Submitting claims to insurance companies electronically, following - up and tracking all denials for timely submission and resubmission. If necessary, applying Medicaid and Medicare payments to the dates of services rendered, ensuring patient authorizations are obtained from various insurance companies and notifying clinicians when OTR's are due 2. Answering client questions regarding coverage and balances, collecting payments from deductible or co-insurance from clients, checking for Medicaid eligibility 3. Billing Outpatient services for Medicaid, Medicare, commercial and Third party insurance according to the guidelines of New York State, City, Federal regulations. Posting cash, making adjustments, ensuring pre-certification for all HMO's using correct ICD-9 and CPT codes and reconciling and post all payments against the Explanation of Benefits (EOB's) 4.
