- Development and oversight of assessments, risk management, and identification of individual clinical needs
- Oversee referral, intake, safety planning, clinical care decision-making, and discharge processes to support continuous quality improvement, effectiveness, efficiency, and clinical decision-making.
- Review client referrals to determine nature and intensity of clinical care, safety planning needs and capacity within the Easter Seals programming to meet those needs
- Oversee clinical and safety planning assessments of referred and accepted clients, participating directly in the assessment process.
  The Regional Director of Clinical Services oversees the writing of transition plans for new clients entering the program and present plans to staff and coordinate clinical care with clinical staff. He or she ensure that medical treatment, safety planning, and other clinical information is relayed to psychiatrists, relevant staff and clinicians responsible for ongoing management and client care. He or she will also provide clinical program orientation and ongoing training and professional development to staff and others responsible for ongoing management and monitoring of client care and review all incident reports for compliance and as warranted.   Other duties include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the maintenance of records that meet requirements of law and professional practice in documenting evaluation, clinical care planning and implementation, safety planning, adverse incidents and the Agency's response.
- Participating in program planning by reviewing clinical/treatment policies and procedures and making recommendations for improvement 
- Ensuring that all clinical policies and procedures are implemented and provide timely response to requests for clinical information from other care providers and state agencies.
- Providing consultation to team members or other staff when non-routine issues arise regarding case review and planning, behavior management, or safety planning.
-  Establishing relationships with law enforcement, probation, judicial, correctional and state agency staff and officials to facilitate communication, establish protocols and agreements, or take other steps as necessary to divert Easter Seals clients from unwarranted involvement in the juvenile or criminal justice systems if involved, to support successful completion of conditions or probation, parole.
