Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Business Analyst with strong Revenue, Billing, Accounting System Integration experience for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial clients in Jersey City, NJ.
The Senior MetraNet (or similar) Analyst will be involved providing production support through ensuring the MetraNet applications are setup and configured properly. Product support can also include reviewing expected file receipts and other dependent processes. The Senior MetraNet Systems Analhyst will be responsible for testing new functionality including system enhancements and new product support. Business continuity is a large responsibility as well, performed through disaster recover testing and planning. The system admin will also participate in related projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
Supports the administration, enhancement and maintenance of the company's financial applications, including:
Finance Data Governance Support
- Set up and maintain user access to Finance systems, including the development of security profiles
- Set up and maintain key data tables in the Finance systems, such as: Chart of Accounts, Billing Configuration tables, Vertex Tax tables, Product/Management Report Hierarchies
- Develop policies and procedures to ensure controlled changes to systems and that business contingency plans are properly addressed, documented and periodically tested
- Manage and enforce data governance policy associated with Finance applications and processes.
- Establish and maintain procedural documentation
- Establish and maintain system parameters and interfaces to other applications
System and Project Support
- System advocate and Subject Matter Expert for Finance systems
- Initiate and manage requests for enhancements and modifications of systems to meet the changing needs of Finance. Including defining requirements, tracking development, performing or coordinating user acceptance testing
- Investigation of new technology and software packages to improve productivity and departmental capabilities
- Provide application knowledge, training and support to users, and aid in the creation of customized reports
- Participate in cross-functional projects representing Finance, participating as a SME, doing Finance system set up and perform testing as appropriate
- Manage small Finance specific projects from requirements to implementation working closely with ADM and Finance Product/Project Management team
- Provide level 1 support, troubleshooting and escalating problems, as necessary, and track them to resolution
- Monitor system processes, data validation and integrity reports
- Cross train on other Financial systems to ensure ability to provide coverage
- Coordination of activities with ADM, Distributed Systems and vendor technical support staff with respect to new development activities and the tracking and resolution of problems
- Business Continuity testing and planning.
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience supporting integrated financial applications.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a business systems analyst and/or systems administrator on MetraNet or any Revenue applications
- Strong experience in leading the introduction, development and maintenance of financial applications.
- Expert in MetraNet or any Revenue Systems Administration and Business Systems Analysis
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate activities with application support and IT infrastructure.
- Good accounting knowledge.

- Systems Admin experience working with MetraNet, Vertex, JD Edwards and/or RevPort preferred
- College degree. Advanced degree or IT certification a plus.
