Position: Technical Support Specialist, Sales Operations
Location: Fairfield County, CT
Salary: $60,000
The Schegg Group is conducting a search for a Technical Support Specialist, Sales Operations. Our client is known for their legacy in supplying state-of-the-art timers and process control products, and has become a global leader in the development and deployment of End-to-End ERP solutions for the food service industry.
Core Expectations for the Technical Support Specialist, Sales Operations
Reporting to the VP, Retail Sales as a key member of our Sales Operations team, you will be responsible for analyzing and solving technical problems with appliance controls in operation at commercial restaurants. By anchoring our help desk, you will offer troubleshooting assistance over the phone by walking our customers through diagnostic steps and recommending corrective actions. You will be interacting with people of varying technical skill sets from restaurant managers through appliance repair technicians.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Assist in creating and maintaining product documentation, troubleshooting guides, and frequently asked questions.
* Simulate customer problems by bench testing low voltage control circuits for foodservice and restaurant appliances
* Participate in the 24/7customer call rotation support team and help desk
* Communicate product improvement ideas to management and development Engineering.
Professional Competencies Required:
Knowledge of appliance or HVAC low-voltage control systems is necessary. Experience with PLCs, motor control, electronic control circuits helpful. Prior work experience in any capacity in a foodservice operation is highly beneficial. Any exposure to commercial cooking appliance repairs a real plus.
Personal Characteristics Required:
* Can effectively communicate with others, using written and verbal communication
* Has ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals
* Is a self-starter, success oriented, with excellent problem solving skills
* Has good organizational, time-management, and reading skills
* Works with minimal direction and capable of multi-tasking.
* Thrives in a fast paced environment
* Has a strong desire to grow professional experience and skills
* Has a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Engineering or Electronic Technology or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required

Location: Fairfield County, CT

The Schegg Group is conducting a search for a SaaS Customer Support Specialist. Our client is known for their legacy in supplying state-of-the-art timers and process control products, and has become a global leader in the development and deployment of End-to-End ERP solutions for the food service industry.
Core Expectations for the SaaS Customer Support Specialist
We are looking for a dynamic, high-energy, action-oriented individual to join our SaaS team as Customer Support Specialist, reporting to the Vice President, SaaS.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Be an active member of the help desk team in supporting customers worldwide using the various company software applications.
* Provide application engineering support to the sales team configuring and installing pilot customer systems.
* Use and maintain various network monitoring pc applications.
* Responsible for creating and maintaining product documentation, troubleshooting guides, and frequently asked questions.
* Ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and executing customer installation scripts
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Administration, implementation, and support experience required in: TCP/IP, DNS, wireless - Wifi, Zigbee, ZWave, anti-virus, firewalls, NAT, SNMP, Linux , Relational Databases including Sybase and MySQL, SCADA systems or temperature monitoring systems.
* Experience with PLCs, motor control, electronic control circuits helpful.
* Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
* Ability to document and evaluate current site network configuration, user requirements, and designs. Good organizational, time-management, and reading skills, ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication.
* Prior work experience in any capacity in a foodservice operation beneficial
Required Education:
A minimum of a an Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment:
The role is both office and field-based, with up to 30% overnight travel. General handyman skills are required to mount telematics equipment and sensors using light tools. You will work on low voltage appliance control circuits in a foodservice and restaurant environment. You will also provide help desk support to customers on both the software applications, use of the IoT portal and telematics equipment. Your role on the help desk requires participation in the 7 day x 24 hour on call rotation schedule.

Lead all Quality Engineering activities and address all supplier quality issues. Ensure all quality related systems of the plant are established and documented to provide a safe and effective product. Build sound technical and organizational competence within area of responsibility. Ensure the systems and products comply with applicable government regulations and standards.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Evaluate, design, implement and improve a production and process control strategy to achieve quality management and plant objectives.
* Provide quality-engineering support for material review board (MRB)
* Provide quality-engineering support to Products and processes
* Provide appropriate oversight and direction to quality engineering and plant-wide projects.
* Support continuous improvement processes, i.e.: lean manufacturing, root cause determination, control plans, six sigma and statistical problem solving.
* Oversee the vendor qualification and certification programs in collaboration with supply chain team management and engineering.
* Provide effective quality engineering leadership in teamwork development, effective communication and quick responses to customer needs.

* Function as respondent during UL, ISO and other 3rd party audit; follow up on any action plans.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or a related science
* 10 years' experience in Electronics manufacturing industry with responsibilities for quality engineering and statistical problem solving/decision making.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, direct and influence others and develop talent
* Excellent knowledge of the philosophy and principles of quality engineering and quality management.
* Strong understanding of failure analysis, test method validation and engineering tolerances.
* Broad knowledge of manufacturing operations and quality system practices.
* Strong verbal, written and interpersonal listening skills
* Track record of successful project management.
* Demonstrated regulatory audit facing experience.
* Excellent knowledge of statistical software, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
* Ability to lead for quality engineering, V&V and quality audit team.

Job Description
Our client is seeking a Quality Analyst who will analyze business requirements, design, develop and implement test plans throughout a rapid, Agile software development lifecycle and ensure that high-traffic websites, web services, mobile applications, and other software products are released with the highest quality. The Analyst will be tasked to improve test cases, manage quarterly load tests and troubleshoot issues with existing products, maintain and communicate testing timelines, schedules, status reports and relevant documentation.
This fulltime employee position is located in Middletown, CT.
Skills and Qualifications
* 6+ years of industry experience as a Quality Analyst
* Solid understanding of software testing practices and test plan development
* Experience utilizing automated testing tools and frameworks to ensure software products function as designed during rapid release cycles
* Strong ability to work with product owners and other resources to thoroughly understand requirements and test products accordingly
* Strong experience with Web UI design and end user experience
* Experience with testing tools such as Load Runner, Selenium IDE and browser based tools such as Firebug, Fiddler, etc.
* Experience with AtTask, Jira or other task collaborations tools
* Experience testing mobile applications is a major plus
* Experience with SQL and ability to check data
* Experience in unit-testing and continuous integration
* Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices
* Experience in a fast-paced, startup-like environment is desired
* Having loads of passion for highly-usable, modern web experiences and mobile applications is desired
