The next Northern Fairfield Professionals (NFP) meeting is Tuesday, June 14.

Our guest speaker, Paul Bailo will present on the Digital Interview

NFP is where people meet to expand their network connections, as well as
learn the tools needed to advance their careers. Business professionals from
all industries and career levels are welcome to attend our monthly meetings.

Our philosophy is to build reciprocal relationships where business
professionals can exchange ideas, job leads, and build networking skills.

We usually have a guest speaker discuss a topic of interest for business
professionals.

Northern Fairfield Professionals (NFP) meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month
from 5:30 - 8 pm. Attendance to NFP is free.

Networking from 5:30-6:00pm with a speaker presentation from 6:00pm to 7:30.
Networking until 8 pm.

Location: The Knights of Columbus building at Saint Rose in Newtown CT,
located at 46 Church Hill Road; behind Saint Rose church to the far left.

Please go in the entrance for Saint Rose church and drive in back of the
church to the far left.

The building has 3 garage doors on the first floor with the meeting room
upstairs.

The entrance is the door on the left front of the building.

Topic: The Digital Interview

All businesses today utilize virtual meetings. Recruitment practices can
also involve the use of digital interviews. Overall, the number of people
who use Skype has grown from about 300 million to more than 405 million in
the past year. Skype as a primary means of communication is used by 35% of

Job Summary

The Engineer will be responsible for web hosting architecture design,
engineering, deployment, troubleshooting, and administration of our package
and in-house developed applications using Microsoft technologies. The
Engineer will maintain the Development, QA, Staging, and Production
environments, and will be a primary point of contact for technical
escalation and administrative tasks supporting the development community

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Administer the Web Sites, which includes:

Coordinating software enhancements being applied to production

Coordinating installation of upgrades, hot fixes, and software patches for
all the hardware and software that enable the Ecommerce web sites
including; VMware, IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server OS, Client
Proliant Servers and Cisco UCS.

Procurement of hardware and software to enable Ecommerce web sites

Windows PowerShell Scripting is a plus to help automate setups

Identifies and resolves hardware and software problems. Ensures issues are
resolved according to established guidelines.

Responsible for installing utilities and/or software to be introduced into
the web environment and work closely with the Development staff to ensure
that such software does not open up any security issues for the company.

Assists in the planning and deployment of major software releases, feature
enhancements, and bug fixes with various development groups

Assists efforts to enhance SOPs and technical documentation

Works closely with various internal and external team members to
successfully complete various day-to-day tasks and ongoing infrastructure
support projects

Occasional after-hours and weekend support

Responsibilities

In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all
positions are also responsible for

Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work
performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a
manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures
including WorldWide Business Standards.

Experience
