Reports to: Engineering Manager
Salary: $70-$75K (DOE) + Generous Benefits

Location: Fairfield County, Connecticut
Key Responsibilities:
Electronic design:
* Schematic, PCB, and electronic interface design
* Component selection and specifications
* Specification and operational parameter definitions
* Prototype/validation testing
* Component-level trouble shooting
* Performance analysis and review
* Thermal Management
* Documentation
*
Project management:
* Spec review and requirements definition
* Team player skilled at interfacing with customer, marketing and design staff
* Create and maintain Product Development Plan
* Feasibility analysis and review
* Cost and Budget analysis and justification
* Design and development scheduling
Position Requirements:
Education: BSEE (MSEE preferred) or equivalent ABET accredited program;
Experience : 10+ years of experience developing and designing electronics in military or aerospace applications. Lighting design experience is desired.

Personal Characteristics:
* Deep understanding of configuration management principles
* Demonstrated project leadership

Reports to: Quality Control Manager

Key Responsibilities:
* Execute receiving, in-process, & final inspections
* Inspect parts / products using standard inspection equipment (e.g. Calipers, Micrometer, Optical Comparator, Height gage, Digital Multi-meter, Power Supplies)
* Document inspection results in reports and logs; summarize re-work and waste; input data into quality database
* Utilize ERP and drawings software to finalize QC documentation
* Assist in training new inspectors
* Communicate with vendors for Certifications & Corrective Action response
* Monitor shelf-life expiration dating
* Ensure functionality of measurement equipment; coordinate repairs
* Maintain safe and healthy work environment
* Partakes of educational opportunities to continually increase functional knowledge
Position Requirements:
Education: High School diploma is required.
Experience: 3-5 years' experience as Quality Control Inspector using standard inspection equipment noted above
Knowledge Requirements:
* General knowledge of core quality system requirements
* Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System requirements is a plus
* Mechanical aptitude
* Good arithmetic skills
* Intermediate Computer Skills, especially MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Personal Specification/Essential Qualities:
* Ability to work well with others, teamwork is key.
* Enjoy learning new things; be comfortable with changing priorities
* Ability to lift products of 50+ lbs
Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
