Account Manager/Project Manager

The Account Manager/Project Manager serves as the primary contact for our customers and is the lead person at the company responsible for customer satisfaction. The Account/Project Manager must consistently provide superior customer service to accounts while representing customer needs and goals within the organization. In addition, this resource will build relationships with customers to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing customer communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on customer deliverables

Develop and maintain a strategic plan for all assigned customers

Reviews all major deliverables (i.e. product documentation, release communications, etc.) to ensure quality standards and customer expectations are met

Handles customer issues in an efficient manner, informing the Director of Account Management of any problems that may arise

Builds and maintains a continuous knowledge of project status in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project

Ensures that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and that projects are profitable

Communicates the customer's goals and represents the customer's interests to the team

Provides regular two-way communication between the customer and product teams, to provide strong team representation and set proper customer expectations

Understands company capabilities and product/service offerings, and effectively communicates those offerings to the customer

Provides weekly updates on all account activity, including status and call reports

Qualifications:

4- 6 years managing customer accounts and/or software implementation projects

Superior written and oral communication skills

Proven account management skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships

Ability to understand the customer better than they do, in order to anticipate future needs and help determine the ideal solution for current needs

Aptitude for translating business needs into documented requirements

A hands-on learning style and proven ability to "hit-the-ground-running"

Comfortable handling multiple accounts and/or managing multiple projects

Extremely detail oriented

Account Manager/ Project Manager, continued

Motivated, goal oriented, persistent, and a skilled negotiator

Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well

Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction

Technical competence (comfortable working with software, hardware, relational databases, SQL, etc)

Preferred:

Knowledge of K-12 and/or Post Secondary Education

Experience working with state and/or local education agencies

Data Warehousing and BI Tool Experience

Proficiency in educating customers on software products

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
