*Event Details*:
Businesses today are feeling the impact of some important trends that are
converging in the enterprise: the growth of cloud services, a marked
increase in data volume and processing needs, and employee demand for more
simplified, intuitive connections with that data.

In response to these trends, Microsoft has created Power BI for Office 365,
a solution which dramatically reduces the barriers for businesses of all
sizes to use and deploy self-service BI tools.

This presentation will cover how:

- Power BI for Office 365 brings self-service BI solutions to everyday
business users through the familiar tool they already use - Excel
- "Power Query" helps customers easily discover, access, and combine
their data
- "Power Map" allows users to create rich 3D geospatial visualizations
in Excel

*About the Presenter:*

**Rajeev Chakrabarti is a Business Intelligence Technical Sales Specialist
for Microsoft who covers the Microsoft BI stack and Big Data. He
engages Fortune 100 companies in the NY Metro area and educates, identifies
and recommends solutions to their business problems using Microsoft
software and services. He has 15 years of Data Warehousing and Business
Intelligence experience and has been hands-on in implementing full
lifecycle projects at large organizations across different industry
verticals. He has worked with tools from many vendors in the Database and
BI space like Cognos. His current passion is Big Data and he's been
engaging with customers to highlight how it can help them unlock the huge
potential of their structured & un-structured data and get meaningful
insights from that data.
