Job Title – Technical Data Analyst
Duration – 3 months
Location – Plainsboro, NJ 08536
Tax terms – W2 only
Job Description-
• Analyses Sunshine data requirements as defined in a FRS and Interface Agreements, as well as understanding database designs and data relationships.
• Document data flow and traceability from several source system feeds into a backend data processing platform ultimately feeding data into an external vendor reporting system to meet federal and state Sunshine reporting rules.
• Define deliverables and formats to be reviewed and accepted by IT and business leadership to provide visual representations and data traceability of front to back data flow throughout the system from source system thru reports.
• Review system interface agreements, file formats, functional requirements, and system design to document data flow, data transformations/validation, and traceability to support SIT and UAT testing needs as well as data issue management.
• Design, conduct, and evaluate systems testing
Minimum Requirements:
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
• 8+ years of software development experience required
• Experience in life sciences industry and financial systems strongly preferred
• Experience with CMS Sunshine projects strongly preferred
• Proficient in Data Profiling and Visualization, SQL, MS Excel, ER Diagrams, Oracle 11G, data modeling tools, excel formulas, macros
• Preferred to be knowledgeable in SQL Analyzer, excel VBA, .net programming
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to lead, coordinate the activities of, and provide technical support to project teams
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Unix and Linux) relational database architectures, query languages and interfaces, standard programming environments, data integration tools, application integration solutions, and web based information solutions
• Excellent technical writing, document organization, technical document review and analytical thinking skills are required to accurately document and review highly technical details and assure document quality
• Expert knowledge of documentation needs and techniques
• Expert knowledge of systems analysis and design techniques
• Knowledge of ITIL functions and roles
• Understanding of one or more business areas in pharmaceutical industry from drug discovery and development through commercial operations
