Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Front End Web Developer to work with a team that designs, develops, supports and maintains the company's internal and external websites and portals.

This is a 3-6 month contract with option to hire, ONSITE position in Stamford, CT.

Skills and Experience

* Must have senior level, 4-5 years experience in front-end web development

* At least one professional project using Angular JS is required

* Extensive experience working with CSS frameworks (like Twitter/Bootstrap) and responsive design libraries

* Extensive work with JavaScript and JS Frameworks (like JQuery); and work with JS micro frameworks

* Strong understanding and experience with data manipulation technologies such as web services, REST, JSON, XSD, and XML

* Strong command of essential front-end web technologies including HTML5, CSS, AJAX, DOM Scripting, and W3C DOM methods and properties

Overview

Our client is seeking a mid-level Data Analyst who will work with a team to
analyze and understand user requests, develop complex SQL queries and stored
procedures to extract data from various sources to be used for adhoc
reports.

This is initially a 3-month contract role, with potential for long-term
extension based on ongoing needs.

Location: Cheshire, CT.

Skills and Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics or other
related degree

* 3-4 years of experience in writing complex SQL code (stored
procedures, triggers, database scripts) to implement business logic and
database maintenance.

* Experience with SQL Server 2005/2008 and other relational
databases; Oracle, MS Access as well as MS Excel are pluses

The Requirements
We are open to candidates from various levels, from Senior Engineer to Senior Manager; the important thing is that you have the background and knowledge listed here. To be a good fit for this opportunity you will have:

* A bachelor's degree and significant related experience and / or training; we also will consider non-degreed candidates with substantial and directly relevant experience.
* Extensive experience in DWDM and SONET/SDH Transport, with a telecom company, large content provider, or data center operator. Global experience is a plus.
* A demonstrated ability to define standards, process and workflow around service implementation and delivery.
* Proven knowledge of:

* IP Services deployment peering and transit.
* Ethernet and dark fiber.
* Cisco and Juniper routing and switching.
* Carrier implementation process and workflow.

* Strong customer and vendor communications skills.
* Database development experience as it relates to network and carrier inventory.
* The ability to:

* Comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex carrier contracts as well as AutoCAD, Visio and PDF documents.
* Manage multiple parties effectively.
* Develop negotiation standards and project tracking / management documents.
* Estimate the cost of network related products and services, implement and monitor cost tracking methods for all projects, and track purchase order requests and invoices.

* Knowledge of business rules, laws, codes, regulations and ordinances in regards to contract negotiations.
* Professional certification, such as a CCNP or CCNA, is preferred.

Just as important as your experience and skills will be the following characteristics and competencies:

* The ability to effectively respond, verbally or in writing, to sensitive issues, complex inquiries or complaints.
* The ability to make effective presentations and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
* A high level of commitment to customer service, whether co-workers or clients.

You also will need to be willing and able to travel; it may be as little as 20% or as much as 50% of the time, depending on issues that arise. Initially you'll travel domestically, but in the future you may also travel internationally.
The Role
Reporting to the Director, Carrier Relations, you will join a small team focused on optimizing our connectivity strategy, including leveraging our relationships with multiple carriers, in order to expand existing accounts and attract new customers. Tailored solutions, branded as the EcoSystem, may provide connectivity within a single datacenter campus or may span multiple campuses.

Your mission will be to take a greenfield approach to identifying the workflow, leveraging your understanding of customer needs as well as carrier capabilities to establish processes and procedures for implementing these solutions. Once the process is established, you will take a hands-on approach to ordering services and overseeing implementation. You'll be involved from initially determining customer needs to post-implementation troubleshooting.

More specifically, you will:

* Plan, implement, coordinate and provide the delivery of all carrier and ISP network and customer services, to include and not limited to lit services, IP services, Ethernet services, network and CPE equipment throughout the Digital Realty portfolio.
* Develop a database to extend the interface of Salesforce.com to manage customer and assets, carrier connections, carrier and customer cross connects, term, CWD, contracts and costs across the entire portfolio.
* Act as primary carrier resource for carrier engineers, property management teams and various groups.
* Coordinate maintenance efforts with outside contractors, tenants, carriers and customers.
* Develop relationships with customers, carriers, Product Marketing and Sales to identify new applications and services for customers.
* Lead in coordination with product management for development and enhancement of all network and carrier service related products.
* Develop and define IP hardware vendor relationship.
* Develop and implement the process, workflow, standards and testing procedures for all carrier services for all customers within the portfolio.
* Producing operating and capital budgets for all network services.
