General Background:

Multi-national Holding Company with a long history of
acquire-and-operate (versus integration) now transforming itself into a
global Operating Company.  Excellent people working towards
a common goal.  Severe lack of homogenous infrastructure, supporting
systems and standardized processes hamper progress.

Must have skills:

Extensive project experience in a structured PMO environment
*
Experience in standing up formal project structure from initial
conception (vs. delivering within fully formed projects)
*
Ability to navigate within an semi(un)-structured (corporate)
environment
*
Ability to rapidly network and develop contacts within an organization
*
Self-motivated problem solver / demonstrated ability to deliver

Demonstrated expertise with basic technology tools (MS Project,
SharePoint, Excel) and Data Management

 

Nice to have/Plusses:

PMP/PRINCE2 Project Management Certification

Extensive Technology Background (i.e. before transitioning into Project

Day to day:

Manage and maintain project timeline and work breakdown structure

Maintain assigned projects within the corporate portfolio management
tool (Daptiv)

Status and financial reporting

Manage vendor engagement and participation in assigned projects

Coordinate internal and external project resources to deliver project
goals

Shepherd required paperwork (project Artifacts, Capital Expenditure
Requests, SOWs, etc.) through corporate approval processes

Big picture:

*
The corporate transformation includes a complete makeover of the
Information Technology Infrastructure organization.  One facet of the
transformation is the Data Center Consolidation (DCC) program,
costing $125M over five years, to provide a revitalized infrastructure
platform essential for the support and growth of the new operating
entity.  The Project Management roles oversee individual works streams
within the DCC Program, each a critical link in
delivering the overall program.

This role will exclusively focus on the build-out of Data Centers
