Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Project Manager who will support a wide range of projects within Global Operations. The PM will partner with project team leads to set priorities & agendas, track and maintain project schedule/goals and performance metrics, provide status updates and escalate issues as needed, maintain and organize relevant documentation. The consultant will also ensure that projects and project teams are properly set up, team roles and responsibilities are clear, deliverables, risks, and mitigation plans are identified. Apply PM best practices in the planning, alignment, initiation, execution, control, and closing of projects.
This is a 5-month W-2 contract position in Cheshire, CT, with travel up to 10%
Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of project management experience within a biopharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years of managing complex projects
• Knowledge of the functions within Global Operations including process development, analytical sciences, manufacturing, quality and supply chain
• Experience managing projects with team members in multiple locations
• Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time with client satisfaction
• High level of proficiency in MS Office software including: Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Project and PowerPoint. Knowledge of MS Project Server a plus.
• Experienced in meeting facilitation
• Strong interpersonal skills; fluent and able to influence others in spoken and written English
• Business process mapping experience preferred
• Must be highly organized, flexible, and adept at handling multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree (science or engineering preferred)
• Understanding and adherence to PMI's or similar Project Management methodologies. PMP certification preferred.
