On Wednesday December 9th, from 7:30-9:30 the Hillsdale Career Resource Ministry Network Group will be meeting in the Sheen Center at St. John The Baptist Parish at 69 Valley Street in Hillsdale, NJ.
At our meeting we would like all members to CONNECT. Connect without Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, Text and any other form of thumb dexterity. Come and enjoy an evening of networking, connecting and sharing. Let's engage in one another; and to help us do that, Mr. Eli Amdur will be coming to town with his style of CONNECTING.
ELI AMDUR, founder and president of the Amdur Coaching and Advisory Group, specializing in career coaching, job market analysis and Adjunct Professor. He is also well-known for his career advice columns in the Record and is the author of "It's Not So Far From Here To There: The thinking person's guide to a well-managed career." BRING A FRIEND! The group leaders are John F. Carvelli, Janelle Razzino and Gary Gabaccia. John and Janelle are both parishioners at St. John's. Janelle is an Executive Recruiter located in Westwood, New Jersey and Gary is a former Recruiting Leader for IBM and a parishioner at Our Lady Mother of the Church. This is a job search network group that is suitable for everyone in transition. The group will discuss networking, landing the job on the first interview, new ideas for resume campaigns, identifying target companies, changing careers and a whole host of other topics. The group will meet on the second Wednesday of every month in the Sheen Room of the Parish Center.
The Career Resource Ministry will present guest speakers on such topics as boosting your confidence and energy, creating a positive daily attitude, meeting others in a network group for the exchange of valuable insights, helping others to help each other and successfully overcoming the speed bumps that afflict everyone's job campaign.
Please feel free to forward this note to ANYONE that you think would benefit from joining us. Or, better yet, just bring them with you! Everyone is welcome, and each month we try to cover a range of topics suitable to anyone in transition, including networking, resume preparation, interviewing and variety of others. Our speakers come with a passion for their topics and a genuine desire to help, so let's all help each other in the pursuit of that life-changing opportunity. And remember, it's all about what YOU find valuable, so please let us know the subject matter of most interest to YOU.
Networking will begin at 6:45 if you would like to get a jump start on connecting with members that will be attending during our "speed dating." Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Manager, Information Systems Security who
will be responsible for maintaining, evaluating and testing the security of
infrastructure systems and processes. This role will lead the ongoing
protection of digital assets, maintenance, expansion of enterprise security
program and architecture. The Senior Manager will also monitor and analyze
systems, and network traffic in order to detect and address threats to the
organization and apply countermeasures where necessary.
This fulltime employee position is located in Wilton, CT

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* BS degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent
experience
* Minimum 10 years Infrastructure/Networking/Security/Windows Design
and Administration experience

Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Network Architect who will design, test,
implement, monitor and maintain the company's network architecture and
related systems, including disaster recovery and business continuity plans
for networks. The Network Architect will review new and existing network
design and assist with development of short- and long-term strategic plans,
policies and procedures to ensure that network capacity meets current and
future requirements as well as provide architectural consulting expertise,
direction, and assistance to other Network resources. The individual will
maintain proper documentation and communicate regularly with the
organization's executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads,
and end users regarding pertinent network activities.
This fulltime employee position is located in Wilton, CT

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Four-year university degree or college diploma in the field of
computer science and/or 8-10 years' equivalent work experience.
* One or more relevant certifications (CCNA, CCIE) required.
* 8-10 years' experience managing, developing and delivering strategic
network architectural design and operational excellence.
* 8-10 years' experience designing enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs,
VPNs, VMs, virtual networks, etc.
* Excellent knowledge of Cisco networking equipment and Cisco IOS
interface.
* Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards, including
TC/IP, BGP, HTTP/S, TLS, SSL, etc.
* Configuration experience with SonicWall Perimeter devices.
* Configuration experience with monitoring tools (Cisco Works,
Solarwinds, etc.)
* Knowledge and understanding of system flow charts, traffic flow, and
data processing concepts.
* Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
* Extensive experience with developing strategic plans.
* Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
* Exceptional understanding of the organization's goals and
objectives.
* Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security
principles, and general network management best practices.
* Excellent architecture and technical support documentation skills.
* Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
* Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose
of creating needs assessments, budgets, and so on.

Our client is seeking a Help Desk Coordinator II to provide Level II troubleshooting and support of the following:
* Desktop and notebook computers; LAN and equipment for various facilities
* Enforces IT Security SOPs
* VPN support and troubleshooting of Cisco VPN router and client software
* Business Software support including MS Office Suite, CRM, Adobe professional suites, SAP and SAP client GUI.
* Avaya 8800 phone system and Modular Messaging.
* Cellular and remote data needs for each employee
* Blackberry and iPhone configuration and administration along with detailed carrier knowledge to support wireless needs.
* Direct participation in initiatives for deployment of new software and hardware technologies.
This 4-month contract position is located in Cheshire, CT
Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree; A+, MCP or MCSE certification preferred.
* 3-5 years of experience supporting medium to large client environments.
* Fluency in Spanish; both speaking and writing is a plus.
* Must have direct experience working with senior level employees.
* Good interpersonal skills are required, as is the ability to communicate well, both verbally and written.
