Our next Northern Fairfield Professionals (NFP) meeting is Tuesday, February
9th.

Our guest speaker Mary Ann Gontin will present on Gaining Confidence in
Networking, Interviews and the Workplace

NFP is where people meet to expand their network connections, as well as
learn the tools needed to advance their careers. Business professionals from
all industries and career levels are welcome to attend our monthly meetings.

Our philosophy is to build reciprocal relationships where business
professionals can exchange ideas, job leads, and build networking skills.

We usually have a guest speaker discuss a topic of interest for business
professionals.

Northern Fairfield Professionals (NFP) meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month
from 5:30 - 8 pm. Attendance to NFP is free.

Networking from 5:30-6:00pm with a speaker presentation from 6:00pm to 7:30.
Networking until 8 pm.

Location: The Knights of Columbus building at Saint Rose in Newtown CT,
located at 46 Church Hill Road; behind Saint Rose church to the far left.

Please go in the entrance for Saint Rose church and drive in back of the
church to the far left.

The building has 3 garage doors on the first floor with the meeting room
upstairs.

The entrance is the door on the left front of the building.

Topic: Confidence- In Networking, Interviews and the Workplace

Confidence- What is it, how to get it.

* Confidence is elusive, difficult to define.

* Confidence is often situational- you can feel strong, confident in a
one situation and less so in another situation.

* Confidence means different things to different people but we all
know it when we see it.

* Confidence and Presence are terms often used interchangeably.

* Our level of confidence is based on gender, culture, family
upbringing, personality, personal abilities and experience.

However, Confidence is something that can be acquired, improved on and
effectively demonstrated. Mary Ann will focus on how to feel more Confident
and demonstrate it in networking, interviews and the workplace.

Mary Ann Gontin, CMF is recognized for her 'sixth sense' in identifying and
improving organizational and individual performance issues. Her background
encompasses both corporate HR roles and her HR consulting business. She has
a BA in Psychology from Montclair State University and is a Career
Management Fellow. Mary Ann has extensive success stories of her work in
the talent management arena in a variety of types and sizes of
organizations. A frequent guest speaker and often quoted in the press, Mary
Ann is founder and President of Gontin Associates and has had a number of
leadership roles in both corporations and the community volunteer sector.

In 2014, Mary Ann was recognized at the People of the Year Awards dinner
sponsored by the Southern Connecticut Chapter of the Society of Human
Resource Management. She received the HR Consultant of the Year Award for
her innovative and effective consulting work.

Responsibilities:
Interior and exterior estimating (training provided). Helps with production, including handing off all landed jobs to Crew Leaders, communicating customer scheduling preferences and needs, ensure all expectations set forth on the written proposal are met, managing customer expectations and ensuring they understand the entire process through completion and maintaining communication with customers after a job is completed to ensure satisfaction and to generate referrals. Assist with marketing, including completing a Territory Marketing Plan, ensuring that lawn signs/door hangers are distributed within the territory and participating in all company-sponsored Home Shows. · Strong computer and internet skills
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Goal oriented

· Customer service skills and mindset
· Some sales experience
· Coachable
· Professional appearance
· Driver's license and clean driving record.

Compensation/Benefits:
· Bi-weekly base salary plus commission
