ST. JOSEPH'S COLLEGE, New York, invites applications for the position of Chief Information Officer, Brooklyn and Long Island campuses. The CIO provides leadership in expanding and supporting the use of academic and administrative technology by providing technology vision, strategic leadership and executive management of the Technology and Information Services (TIS) department. The TIS department serves all technology-related instructional, academic and administrative needs of the College community.

The CIO is responsible for all aspects of information technology support including: IT support for teaching and learning activities, Web-based student services, ERP systems, library automation, server and networked desktop computer environments, distance learning, College-wide data and voice networks, videoconferencing, telecommunications/telephony services, and IT security. The CIO reports to the President.

Through continuous communication and consultation with faculty, students, staff, and administrators, the CIO will develop a proactive, creative and collaborative environment to ensure that technology solutions are meeting the changing demands within the College. The CIO develops short and long-range strategic plans, manages facilities, resources, budgets, personnel, vendor relationships, purchasing and inventory on both the Brooklyn and Long Island campuses. Frequent travel between the campuses is required.

Qualifications: An advanced degree in a relevant field. Progressively responsible management experience in information technology at an institution of higher education. Significant experience in information technology and strategic planning. Substantive knowledge of the impact of technology on teaching and learning, of information management for administrative decision support, and of electronic business processes. Excellent administrative, management and interpersonal skills required.
