Telecommunications Manager
SUMMARY:
The Telecom Manager will be the primary resource for all activities in support of voice infrastructure. This environment consists of Cisco Unified Communications and Nortel/Avaya deployments throughout the Enterprise. This position will be responsible to manage a team supporting various PBX's across 85+ locations, Wireless devices, Audio/Video Conferencing and other aspects of telephony. The Telecommunications Manager will support all divisions throughout the US and take an active role in local system administration, monitoring, trend analysis, and project execution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Optimization of voice switches and associated Infrastructure and applications, trouble ticket management, and preventive maintenance.
Support of Wireless devices and infrastructure
Audio/Video Conferencing and Webex Management
Supervise document, and report installation, maintenance and repair activities.
Ensure accurate wiring and cross-connect documentation
Monitor and report on audio conferencing activities.
Vendor Management with various carriers and support services.
Reporting and tracking of all trends, open tickets and other measures to adhere to SLA levels
Manages and recommends inventory levels and secures equipment
§ Excellent technical written and presentation capabilities; must have ability to make customer presentations. Above average written and verbal communication skills are necessary
§ Offhours availability and support
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with Cisco Call Manager, Nortel/Avaya, Cisco Unity or other Voicemail Systems
Wireless Device Management and Support including BES and/or Boxtone.
5-10 years hands-on experience as a technician or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years management experience
Telecommunication Administration, and call routing. Ability to work after normal business hours and on weekends as needed. Occasional travel may be required. Certifications in Nortel, Cisco and Microsoft voice products and Infrastructure a plus.
Network Engineers skillsets required including Routing/Switching, voice prioritization, server administration (Windows/Linux)
Bachelors Degree in Telecommunications or related areas
CCVP, CCNA or other certification is a plus
Strong inter-personal skills
NOTE: The E|R|A "HELP A Friend or Colleague Program":
For the placement of a referred candidate for a "Full-Time" position, a referral fee of $500 will be paid if the salary of the placed candidate is $100,000 or less; $750 will be paid if the salary of the placed candidate's salary is over $100K and less than $150K. For candidates placed whose salary is greater than $150K a $1000 finders fee will apply. The candidate must have completed over 120 days of full-time employment with the company to qualify.
