Description:
Minimum 5+ years' experience modeling complex databases using 3rd party modeling tools such as ERWin 7.2
Performance tuning, partitioning
Experience designing and building large financial services data warehouses with very strong data analysis skills
Have good knowledge of ER/Dimensional modeling and have extensive experience in developing logical and physical data models in complex, multi-application environments.
5+ years of hands-on experience in data management, data warehousing, data transformation, metadata and reference data management and business intelligence tools.
5+ years of experience with advanced SQL query techniques using TOAD, SQL Navigator. Basic UNIX would be a Plus.
Previous experience as a hands-on Oracle DBA of large database is a plus.
Must have good understanding of leading 3rd party products in the relevant areas (e.g. Datastage, Business Objects, Microstrategy).
Significant experience with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are absolute requirements of this position.
Responsibilities:
Capture business requirements and rules, design the associated Logical/Physical models, and create all required documentation to support, communicate, and validate the data model.
Design, build and maintain the logical and physical data models to support the business requirements in a dynamic, expanding business environment.
Map data elements of data sources into the domain data models.
Maintain documentation of data models, including relationships, constraints and metadata.
Publish and conduct model reviews with business and technical project teams.
Review database design changes with the team to determine the impact to the physical database and other systems.
Coordinate with development/implementation team to improve model formats and approaches with regard to implementation issues.
Participate in performance tuning activities including partitioning strategies, indexing strategies, and SQL optimization

Overview:
We are looking for a candidate with advanced hands-on expertise in unstructured data mining tools and technologies. Experience in clinical-related data and statistics is a plus.
responsibilities:
analyze hundreds of millions of records – develop, implement, and optimize algorithms to run in real-time / near real-time
develop solutions for analytics and visualization of structured & unstructured data sets
improve scalability performance of existing storage and analytics solutions
ability to mine large sets of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
Requirements:
experience with data mining (decision tree, logistic regression, cluster analysis, etc.) that includes accessing and analyzing large volumes of data
· advanced knowledge of data analysis processes and tools
· strong technical background in programming and experience working hands-on with large-scale data sets
· experience with creating ETL processes to source and link data
· scaling, performance and scheduling and ETL techniques
· assist in developing internal tools for data analysis
· strong proficiency for analyzing source data and creating staging designs and dimensional data models
· Responsible for search semantic/text analytics and optimization program research and deployment. apply linguistics & technical skills to mine text and extract entities, concepts or sentiment, and discover knowledge from both unstructured and structured data sources.
exposure to a variety of information architecture themes such as mdm, data warehousing, data quality, business intelligence, metadata management, content management, big data/nosql,etc., and ability to apply concepts in the company context
extensive experience working with large-scale systems and very large data sets
expertise in developing search query commands and data analytics is a must
strong experience in data mining methods and techniques
Expertise with tools such as oracle data mining (odm), ssas, spss etc.
Strong programming experience in sql. proven hands-on coding skills
deep knowledge in developing and troubleshooting large scale distributed systems
