Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced MySQL Database Administrator who will
maintain and support the company's MySQL database environment
This is a fulltime employee position in Madison, CT.
Relocation assistance
Skills and Experience:
* 2 + years working on a daily basis with MySQL for Red Hat Linux /
Variants (XtraDB, MariaDB) is required
* Must have skills and experience in Configuration, Clustering,
Replication, Performance Tuning, monitoring, backups and migrations to newer
versions
* Experience working with Cloud platform such as: Rackspace, Amazon
and Terremark is a plus
* Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Mongo, Redis,
ThinkDB) are preferred
* MySQL relevant certifications are desired

o Evaluation of in-house and vendor supplied invoicing systems is conducted against defined business requirements
o Integration of the new process with existing payment systems in achieved
Interfacing with IT to ensure business requirements are documented in line with expected standards
The resource will report into a NY based project manager who will provide the required guidance and establish the interfaces/connections with the relevant subject matter experts within the firm.

o Experience in management consulting/dedicated project management
o Pronounced analytical skills and strong communication skills (including development of senior management presentations)
o Pro-active and independent way of working
o Strong quality mindset
o Ability to work effectively with global and remote teams
o Structured and organized work style
o Ability to identify and suggest alternative solutions, even when those suggestions may not be popular
o Strong spoken and written English language skills
