Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer who will design and
implement system level electrical package according to customer
specifications and other requirements. The Sr. Engineer should be capable of
designing software-based electrical systems for both PLC and computer based
control systems. Occasional domestic travel required for customer visits and
equipment start-up.
This is a direct hire (fulltime employee) position in the Oxford-Derby, CT
area. Local candidate preferred. Salary range is $90,000.00 - $103,000.00
Skills and Qualifications
* Must have BSEE with 5 or more years of relevant work experience.
* Capable of developing electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
for machinery, as well as the detailing of supporting mechanical components.
* Able to create PLC ladder logic diagrams and termination diagrams.
* Must be proficient with creating 2D electrical prints, panel
layout drawings and ladder logic control drawings. (Preferably Solid Works
2D and/or Solid Works 3D electrical package).
* Knowledgeable with both high and low voltage circuits for motors
and control systems and familiar with the operation of mechanical drive
systems.
* Experience with the selection and sizing of electrical controls,
drives, motors, operators, switches, etc.
* Should have a strong background in control systems design for
large mechanical assemblies and comfortable in specifying, switches,
controls, PLC's, motors and user interface systems.
* Experience with complex machine control system development,
implementation, start-up and troubleshooting desired.
* Mechanical design experience a plus.
