The Senior HRIS Analyst is an individual contributor position within HR. This position partners with internal customers, including Payroll, Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Compensation & Benefits, IT and other end users of Workday, as well as external vendors, to analyze work process design and flow, improve processes and leverage the return on technological capabilities.
The Senior HRIS Analyst builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation, works effectively with leaders to set priorities, assists with ensuring data integrity and serves as the subject matter expert for report writing. The Senior HRIS Analyst administers Workday upgrades, tests functionality, troubleshoots problems and ensures successful roll-out of upgrades, including providing guidance to end users.
Job Responsibilities:
1. System Maintenance
Serve as a super user of Workday. Lead the review, testing and implementation of Workday system upgrades. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix. Document processes and results. Maintain relationships with 3rd party providers to ensure adherence to service level agreements. Manage all HR systems & Workday integration projects, including troubleshooting and error resolution. Build and maintain custom organizations, companies, locations, supervisory orgs, business units, cost centers, etc. Perform data audits.
2. Production Support
Research and resolve Workday issues, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. Through close collaboration with key stakeholders, ensure that Workday is optimally configured and leveraged to support HR and business processes. Form and lead project teams consisting of key internal stakeholders, consultants and 3rd party providers. Ensure that processes and procedures adhere to defined audit and internal controls. Work with various process owners within the HR function to ensure data integrity and adherence to compliance requirements. Manage security roles and enhancements to system security model. Enter data as needed, review and approve Workday transactions.
3. Project Management/Process Improvement
Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities. Develop and execute project plans. Utilize effective interpersonal skills when working with various customers and peers to accomplish project goals. Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, and policy changes. Understand and use qualitative/quantitative measurement and data collection design principles. Organize work to accommodate business priorities. Analyze complex sets of data to identify quality issues and proactively initiate steps for improvement. Manage and maintain internal dashboards and scorecards.
4. Reports/Queries
Advise business leaders on best practices, Workday system and reporting capabilities. Write, maintain and support a variety of reports to enable manager self-sufficiency. Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries, implementing quality control checks and analyzing data.
5. Training
Develop user procedures, training materials, guidelines and documentation. Train internal clients on new processes/functionality. Train new system users. Acquire and track internal customer feedback to ensure user issues/concerns are being addressed and processes are aligned and maintained to meet business needs. Provide additional guidance to end users as appropriate based on inquiries to the help desk. Provide leadership and guidance to contingent HRIS worker, as needed.
6. Individual Development
Maintain awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support. Through classes, reading, participation in user group discussions, or other mechanisms, continuously increase both HR and Workday knowledge.
Job Qualifications: (Skills / Competencies / Knowledge / Experience)
* At least three years of hands-on Workday systems integration and implementation experience
* Minimum of five years of HRIS experience, including data management/analysis, auditing and report writing
* Effective interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication and strong client service
* Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize
* Aptitude for process streamlining and continuous improvement
* Understanding of HR processes and data
* Highly skilled in working with systems and translating end-user needs/requests with system functionality
* Strong demonstration of PDI Values: Customer First, Accountability & Results, Teamwork, Innovation and Transparency.
* Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Education / Certifications
* Bachelor's degree required.
* Degree in Systems/Technology, Computer Science or Human Resources preferred
