| # Description
The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for the ensuring that new infrastructure solutions are delivered consistent throughout the organization. The Infrastructure Architect will analyze, document and promote standards and patterns that represent the established ecommerce enterprise architectural goals. Individuals in this role are also responsible for researching, demonstrating and providing guidance on emerging technologies and industry trends as well as maintaining expert knowledge of internal and external-facing systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Define and maintain the future state infrastructure architecture blueprint and roadmap
· Establish and document the current IT infrastructure portfolio, standards, and procedures according to industry best practices
· Partner with key stakeholders in Operations and Engineering to advance toward the established future vision blueprint
· Stays informed about technology trends, ability to differentiate between emerging, hype and mainstream evolution and assess impact to organization from low, medium, high, transformation.
· Produce appropriate design artifacts representing desired changes in technical architecture
· Address system quality attributes relating to infrastructure architecture, such as efficiency or availability, and recommend solutions
· Contribute to high-level estimates in support of business case development
· Ensure their adoption and usage Serve as technical point interface for infrastructure platform vendors, reviewing designs with the vendors where appropriate and driving improved service from these vendors where needed
· Establish as a trusted technical advisor with key internal and external stakeholders
· Other responsibilities as required to support the company's growth
# Qualifications
· 5 years supporting high traffic ecommerce site ( Architecture, Capacity planning)
· 5 years' experience in full development life cycle and significant experience in delivering applications and architecture services in a production environment.
· 5 years' experience in the implementation of structured design and architecture processes in a corp. environment.
· 5 years' experience leading in the design and implementation of Development, Application, and Data architectures.
· 5 years' experience in the design of multi-tiered technology architecture.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
· Ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, or equivalent experience
