*Daily Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:*

- Create/maintain Windows operating systems, including Windows 2003 thru
Windows 2012, on multiple Client platforms. Manage the operating systems in
a highly secured network, with Active Directory, group policy, and
clustering.
- Work with storage systems, SAN, JBOD, Logical Volume Manger and
associated management tools.
- Work with non-operating system components including IIS and Apache Web
server.
- Create scripts in support of system administration tasks.
- Perform diagnostics of issues with the Windows OS and Client-based
server hardware platforms and perform tuning activities as needed. Function
as a single point of contact between the customer, other support teams, and
vendors. This diagnostic work requires extensive experience in networking.
- Work with vendors and other ITS units to build, upgrade, rack, and
cable new and existing hardware platforms.
- Provide patching of servers for security vulnerabilities utilizing
Microsoft's System Center Configuration Manager.

*MANDATORY REQUIREMENT:*

You must have experience with server back up and security; Performance
tuning and capacity planning; operations and troubleshooting and
understanding of network and distributed
computing concepts.

- You must be able to work without assistance and can provide leadership
for others; may have advanced education.

*Requested Desirable Qualifications**: *

The numbered qualifications below are not mandatory, but *candidates
should meet or exceed in duration and skill set target asked for, at least
3 of numbers 1 through 5.*

1. 60 + months experience creating/maintaining Windows operating
systems, including Windows 2003 thru Windows 2012, on multiple Client
platforms in large and small scale environments.
2. 60+ months experience managing servers in a WAN environment and an
N-Tier, highly secure network with multiple large scale Active Directories.
3. 60 + months experience with storage systems, SAN or JBOD and
management tools for that disc.
4. 60+ months with deploying and managing Microsoft clustered services,
including working with MS SQL.
5. 60+ Months experience with Windows diagnostic tools and performance
tuning activities. This diagnostic work includes extensive experience in
networking and experience functioning as a single point of contact between

Our client is seeking a Database Architect who will be responsible for
providing support for the client's suite of products. This will include the
maintenance of existing processes and the development of new processes in
support of strategic initiatives.

This is a full time employee role in Madison, CT.

Knowledge & Experience

. BA/BS degree required; or equivalent work experience of 5+ years

* 5+ years of experience with relational databases

* Exceptional knowledge of data normalization techniques and a variety
