Our client is seeking a Business Systems Analyst with strong SQL skills who will be responsible for creating functional requirements specification document using UML - use cases, swim lanes, state diagrams, activity diagrams, class diagrams and collaboration diagrams. This person will work with the technical team to effectively develop System Design specifications, Data Dictionary and SSIS packages to document the technical details of the system. Worked with the Deployment team to prepare configuration change and release requests to follow the Go Live workflow.

This is a 3.5 month w-2 contract in New Haven, CT

Responsibilities
� Worked in Agile development/testing cycles with build turnaround times.
� Knowledge and delivery capabilities in Sprint planning, prioritizing requirements, Sprint Review. Conduct daily scrums for status updates, and address any risks or concerns that team has to get the work completed.
� Perform System testing & UAT to ensure that the compiled software components of the Applications adhere to Project Standards, Performance Criteria and Functional specifications.
� Performed root cause analysis of issues and debugging.
� Perform Data Quality analysis using BOIS.

Summary:

Our client is seeking a Data Analyst - Healthcare Utilization who will
perform analysis, synthesis and modeling of payer claims data to support
system contracting, pay-for-performance units, physician and hospital
bench-marking, utilization management, financial planning and forecasting
processes.

This is a fulltime employee position with flexible location within CT
(Shelton, Derby, Danbury, Norwalk, Bridgeport, Middletown, or New London)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business,
Finance, or other related field; Master's degree preferred.

. 2-5 years of Data Analysis experience specific to healthcare
cost/utilization analysis.

. Experience with MS Excel functions that include working with large
data sets, creating standardized reported utilizing vLookups and advanced
functions/formulas; creating, using an interpreting pivot tables, filtering
and formatting.

. Advanced skills with MS Access and other database programs.

. Ability to work independently, be results oriented and have
flexibility with new or varied responsibilities.

. Familiarity with cube based data architecture preferred.

. In-depth understanding of payer claims, ICD10
