THE POSITION
 
High Level Job Description:
We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Manager, Online Analytics to join our Online Marketing team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Online Marketing this position will play a critical hands-on role in our business to lead, and drive the growth of sophistication and utilization of analytics in our organization. This position will play a strategic role in the analysis of all click stream data, conversion data, testing data and e-commerce data with an eye on helping the marketing teams optimize acquisition, engagement, conversion and retention efforts. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, experienced, and creative self-starter that will jump in and make an immediate impact. You will be an instrumental team member involved in developing, managing, and growing all aspects of web analytics, reporting and analysis. Qualified applicants will have a strong online statistic and analytic background, solid business acumen and good technical knowledge.
 
Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:

Exhibit a high level of expertise in guiding the data strategy across multiple tactics and work with development to assure data integrity of all aspects of tracking and reporting
Own, manipulate and utilize the selected web analytics tools with a high degree of skill and understanding as it relates to web metrics, site analysis, online business and user segmentation
Create holistic dashboards that help give insight and drive business decision-making
Serve as the on-site web analytics advocate, constantly striving to improve skills with tool sets and within the web metrics space, as well as pushing knowledge to the larger marketing teams.
Work as a vendor liaison to assure proper and expedited implementation
Develop testing plan and platform for testing and then work with product managers to define, design, execute, analyze, and present results to marketing leaders and team members.
Participate in site re-designs and enhancements as a measurements expert, identifying reporting requirements, monitoring the implementation process and evaluating post-launch reporting.
 
Required Competencies/Skills:

Very strong web and business analysis skills
Highly analytical and detail oriented, with a passion for digging into data to identify key trends, results and critical outcomes
Strong ability to translate, communicate, and distil statistics and metrics into a digestible, actionable marketing framework
Strong initiative – ideal candidate will conceive of research projects/tests and execute based on open business/analysis questions without direct instruction
General working knowledge of basic web technologies is preferred, but not required (SQL, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX , ATG, web platforms, Flash, etc.)
Ability to work with employees at all levels including senior management
Extremely well organized (including good project management skills) and high attention to detail
Leadership skills ability to lead teams of people from a variety of functional areas to reach common project goals
Strong written and verbal communications skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively interact across business functions to deliver effective marketing programs
Bachelor's Degree
7-10+ years web analytics experience, media industry a plus
Experience with enterprise-level analytics tools (Omniture's Site Catalyst strongly preferred)

Exchange 2003 roles were very easy (front and back end servers). Exchange
2007/2010 changed this with 5 roles (mailbox, transport, client access,
edge, & unified messaging). Add in virtualization (yes & no), and it's
become a lot more complicated. So learn about proper design and deployments
of such roles. This is going to be a technical presentation.
