Networking
One of the most effective ways to expand your circle of influence is through networking. Word of mouth can enhance not only your potential to discover opportunity, but it also can facilitate opportunity to discover you. Executive networking seeks to bring together experience-intensive individuals to interact with professionals of similar career levels from different industries, companies, and career aspirations. In these segments, you will network with management level individuals and recruiters to extend your sphere of influence, seek advancement opportunities, expand professional awareness, and to accelerate your career.
Managing Job Transition
The average American can expect to change jobs at least eleven times during his or her career. Taking a new position often opens the door to enhanced career opportunities and increased earnings. On the other hand, leaving an employer can present an employee with critical and potentially confusing decisions. Understanding the financial choices that are available can help protect you and your family.
Joseph Chu, CFP®, CIMA®, CRPC®, Senior Vice President Investments, Senior Financial Advisor, will identify some problems that often occur in career transition and present possible strategies for resolution. The seminar seeks to help you take your first step to develop planning strategies to make the most of your assets and ensure a smooth and profitable transition.
If Your Networking is Not Working Try This!
Over 90% of jobs are found and landed through some form of "Networking." Linda Van Valkenburgh will deliver an interactive presentation to help you reposition your networking for maximum effectiveness. Linda will give you the strategies and the tools to network with purpose and success. She will detail the necessary preparation before the networking opportunity, identify quantifiable goals for the networking event, explain the golden rule of networking, and deliver an actionable process for following up for success.
Linda Van Valkenburgh is the owner and certified executive career coach of My Executive Career Coach, LLC. She helps clients define career goals and identify career options utilizing proven and comprehensive career planning techniques and systems; provides opportunities to improve decision making skills; teaches job search and research strategies; and provides support for clients experiencing the stress of job loss or career transition.
