Many seasoned job seekers find themselves being called overqualified

misconceptions about you. It's impossible to BE overqualified unless YOU
believe you ARE overqualified. In this seminar, you will learn: 1) How to
answer the overqualified question; 2) Why recruiters AND hiring managers
are concerned about hiring overqualified applicants; 3) How to change your
cover letter and resume if you believe you are overqualified; 4) Seven ways
to explain on an interview why being overqualified is an advantage.

Posted by: "Keith Bogen SPHR" keith.bogen@yahoo.com   hrslugger2002

Tue Mar 13, 2012 4:31 am (PDT)

CIG Executive Staffing is working with aCompany located in New Yorkthey are seeking QA, SQL experience for a Consultant w/ right to hire.

QA, SQL, Gaming – Consultant w/ right to hire -

From a hard skills perspective (in order of importance):

1.    A knowledge of SQL and the ability to build complex queries (this being the most significant skill of the bunch)
2.    Familiarity with XML
3.    Familiarity with .Net
4.    Experience working with Java

From a soft skills point of view (all of fairly equal importance):

1.    The ability to work independently.  This person will most likely be given a good deal of autonomy.
2.    Experience with both hands on testing and some test planning as well. We'll want someone who can both put together and execute a thorough test plan complete with a detailed suite of test cases to support the test plan.
