This role will be developing embedded real-time software for control units
for aircraft fuel management systems. The software is safety-critical,
complying with the requirements of RTCA/DO-178B (level A or B) and comprises
Measurement, Management, Control and Protection, Communications (AFDX, CAN,
SPI) and Built-in-Test software.
Require Experience / Education:
1. Hands-on experience in development of mission critical software.
2. BS in electrical engineering, physics, computer science or related
degree/experience.
3. 8 years' experience in C programming language software design for
safety-critical embedded applications.
4. Well versed with DOORS, Artisan, VectorCAST, Python tools
5. Working knowledge of avionics communication protocols: CAN, AFDX
6. Experience of real-time control applications.
7. Understanding of the principles of configuration management.

Great Lakes Computer, a solutions provider founded in 1986, has an immediate opportunity for an Engineer for its Network Infrastructure and Security business. This position requires some traveling time.
The candidate will offer pre-sales support to develop best practice solutions for the network and security needs of regional clients. The candidate will provide post-sales implementation services by configuring and installing network and security hardware and software as sold to our customers. While working independently, Great Lakes Computer engineers need to be engaged as a team player with the ability and willingness to learn new products and skills to assist and support other team members. Some domestic travel is required.
