Next Week's Networking Events


Monday, August 20th from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon: The Maplewood/South Orange Professionals in Transition will host: Irina Gomelskaya, a Certified Life and Career Coach, who will give a presentation titled: "Informational and Behavioral Interviews." Irina will discuss the two types of interviews. One is the Informational Interview, with which one seeks to build their knowledge about a profession and what is happening in it, by speaking with experts in the field. The other is a Behavioral Interview, in which the person interviewing you is seeking to gain feedback about whether you would be a good fit for their organization. For those who would like to improve their interviewing skills and increase contact with others through their job search, this presentation is a must. Monday, August 20th from 6:00 – 8:45 pm: The Westchester Networking Organization (WNO) will host Darcy Knapp, of SEO Web Mechanics, who will give a presentation titled: "Social Media for Job Seekers." WorkSearch is an online system which provides links to job openings, skills assessment tools, and training programs at no cost to individuals. Wednesday, August 22nd from 6:00 - 7:30 pm: The New York Science, Industry and Business Library, will host John Crant, who will give a presentation titled: "Building Your Professional Network with LinkedIn & How To Use It In Your Job Search."
