Topic: Developing Brand Recognition in Your Job Search
Presented by Rob Zanfardino, Committee Chair, Career Connections for Professionals
Have you ever wondered why you catch yourself calling a certain product by a brand name? For example have you ever caught yourself calling a cotton swab by Q-Tips or a tissue by Kleenex? It all comes down to marketing and developing a reputation for being the best! In essence that is brand recognition. There may be better products out there but in the customer's mind this product is the only one to solve their problem. The advertising agencies developed tried and true methods of creating the desire in you to buy their products; First, create the demand, and then create the solution to solve the problem.
In this current job market and for years to come, you too have to create the demand for yourself by developing your own personal brand. One that will be recognized by recruiters and employers alike that will put you on the top of the resume pile and get you to the final stages of the interview process. This presentation will touch upon those very same concepts that I have taught to leaders throughout the Northeast and that will build your confidence during your job search and beyond.
