Job Title: IT Financial & HR Systems Manager 1199 Job Location: Manhattan Job Salary: TBD Job Description: The Finance & HR Systems Manager partners with individuals across the organization to develop functional and technical requirements for solutions to improve efficiency in business functional areas for: Accounting, HR, Benefits and Payroll, Purchasing as well as function as the Lawson in-house subject matter expert. The Financial & HR Systems Manager assesses, plans, implements and evaluates information system support needs for business operations according to policies, procedures, protocol and standards. There is responsibility for system assessment, process analysis, identification of system requirements, and functional definition of planned system changes as well as identifying and implementing information system solutions that support more efficient and effective work performance based on inherent knowledge of business functions and processes. In addition, the manager develops and manages project plans for the deployment of new and/or changes to information system applications and serves as an educator and resource regarding system functionality. Serves as primary liaison with New York Blood Center's (NYBC) Managed Service providers for Finance and Human Resources systems. Education: High School diploma, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Experience / Skills and Abilities: Five (5) or more years of progressive experience and related business experience including systems implementation and process improvement. Experience supporting ERP / Finance and HR systems preferred in the following areas: systems analysis, upgrades, implementation of new applications, implementation and support of interfaces. Lawson Experience a plus. Ceridian experience a plus. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is required. Proven Vendor Management experience for technical support services. Project management, Program Management experience critical. Budget Management, Project Portfolio Management experience a plus. Healthcare experience preferred. Technical understanding in areas include UNIX scripting, interface support, file analysis, maintenance, and database configurations. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with both technical and nontechnical individuals.
