Social Collaboration presented by Bridget Burne
Social Collaboration is making its way into the workplace as an effective
mechanism for communication, collaboration, and efficiency during the
software development lifecycle. Bridget's presentation will explore the
role of Social Collaboration in the workplace, particularly in the
Requirements Definition and Management Process. Bridget will discuss the
management of collaborative tools and highlight the benefits gained from
proper usage of them.
*About the Presenter*
Bridget Burne is a Solutions Engineer with Blueprint Software Solutions, a
global leader in the Requirements Definition and Management (RDM) space.
Bridget has implemented Blueprint's RDM software at multiple customers
across multiple industries. She has also educated over 300 individual users
on the function, capabilities, and best practices of Blueprint.
Prior to joining Blueprint, Bridget spent 10 years as a Consultant with IBM
Global Services. During that time, she implemented multiple software
packages on large, global, projects for clients in the technological,
pharmaceutical, automotive and medical device industries. Bridget graduated
from the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Supply Chain
Management and International Business. She resides in New York, New York,
and is a member of the local IIBA Chapter.

We are looking for 3 Mid to Senior QA Leads 10+ years of QA experience
Who would be comfortable working within Insurance (Casualty, WC and GL) domain and being familiar with AGILE environment and be able to work under a tight project schedule. This is a multi-year global program that will give you the opportunity to stretch your skills with an agile QA and development team that is delivering industry leading architectures with Rich AJAX UIs, dynamically configured Spring frameworks and Predictive Analytics. You should have a passion for your work with the imagination for the possible and the grounding to deliver it. This consultant needs to be an expert in the concepts of test process.
As a QA Lead you will be responsible for leading a small group of offshore testers, manual testing, Test Scenarios/ Cases development and Test execution. The candidate should have proven experience in all phases of the project life cycle in QA and Experience in all phases of testing. Work within Offshore/Onshore model. Knowledge of Automation testing is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
* Produce well-structured, documented and maintainable test scripts for manual testing that support the quality assurance test-cycle within the SDLC.
* Participates in team meetings with project team as appropriate
* Researches, understands and produces test-case scenarios and cases that validate major functional areas of application
* Participate in the development and support of the testing program aimed at supporting multiple testing efforts simultaneously
* Identify and capture test data to support the test cases defined by the testing team
* Modifies test cases scenarios as needed for new and changed business rules, functionalities and modules.
* Executes test cases in accordance with department defined test plans and procedures.
* Creates clearly documented defect reports for anomalies found during test procedures.
* Adheres to established test methodologies for validation and verification of product releases.
* Proficient with Microsoft office software: Excel, Word, Windows/SQL
* Understand the business risk and implications of introducing new software or hardware into the production environment
Job Requirements
* Computer Science Master or Bachelor*s degree preferred OR extensive (> 7year) current experience in a systems development and QA.
* Prior experience within Insurance Domain (Casualty, WC and GL)
* Ability to demonstrate innovative thinking, influencing and execution.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work under tight schedule.
