This is a CONTRACT ROLE at 50/ hr.

Location: jersey city
Duration: 6 Months

The Project Manager will have the following skills:

- Strong hands-on engineer background in the past who knows how to host a conf call and do the scheduling. By strong hands-on, the TPM knows how to talk and specify tasks to engineers. This is NOT a PM who deals with process only.
To backfill the day-to-day baseline technical project management work of a Client dedicated Technical Project Manager (TPM), in the US NPTS team, that has been temporarily dedicated to a major project.
¿Ï Minimum 5 years experience managing large projects in the financial services industry.
¿Ï Should posses solid network background and fundamentals, ideally a current or ex CCNP.

The Project Manager will:

Act as primary liaison between GNS implementation team and Client internal groups including ITF, AS Connectivity, UNIX, business/client and peer GNS resources (Engineering, Cabling, CVM, Firewalls, Operations)
- Act as primary liaison between GNS implementation team and Client external groups including collocation providers and equipment staging partners.
- Coordinate appropriate updates with NMS Team as devices are productionized and ensure all network devices are properly inventoried in Netbase
- Secure appropriate signoff for all network deliverables produced or updated during a project
- Oversee and manage day to day activities of Deployment Engineers
- Ensure all networking systems are delivered based upon Client network standards
- Ensure compliance with Client standard network deployment practices during implementation
- Create, or work with Deployment Engineers to create, Global Change Management (GCM) requests
- Secure approval for network changes (GCMs)
- Attend weekly change control meetings to present, or support presentation by Deployment Engineers, of network changes
- Host testing bridge conference calls for any changes involving disruption to service
- Coordinate next business day support for changes
- Issue notifications for all change events
- Turn-over all documentation created or updated during this project to Client.
