Important Skills Needed:
We are looking for a Senior Database Developer with excellent Oracle (creating schemas, procedures, tables), PL/SQL, T-SQL, and SSIS skills.
We are looking for a Senior Database Developer with excellent Oracle (creating schemas, procedures, tables), PL/SQL, T-SQL, and SSIS skills.
NOTES FROM THE TEAM LEAD:
SSIS is the main skill needed
Good database background required. Experience in both Oracle and SQL Server, especially SSIS.
Will need strong SQL programming skills to handle the loads, but no DBA or Modeling experience needed. Needs to be comfortable in a database world.
No ancillary languages required, but C# might be helpful.
Manipulating data from existing environments. Work will be done in development, then re-executed in production.
The consultant will be involved in testing - internal IT group. Others will verify the data (testers/application teams), etc. They will support the testing process.
Check and balance scripting will be handled by the rest of the team.
This particular position is really about SSIS and the integration - more of a data architect/developer.
Mostly a heads down position. Some interaction with SQL database people. Hopefully they can transfer knowledge to others.
