February's Speaker Rescheduled
How to Get the Most Out of Your Contacts
(Making the Most of Your Networking Efforts)
Come Network with fellow MENG members
Thursday, March 13, 2014
10:00am to 12:00pm
Weston Library: 56 Norfield Road Weston, CT
Networking is a life skill people need to consistently employ to connect and re-connect with others who can be helpful in both job search and career management. Networking requires giving as well as receiving help and information. Chris Conlon will share tips on getting the most out of your network while avoiding "network burnout"
Chip Conlin has been a member of The Five O'Clock Club, a national job search and career development organization, since 1996. He is currently the Affiliate Director of the Roosevelt Insider Group of the Club in New York City. Chip brings his 30 years of HR experience in helping clients quickly establish the right strategy to promote their career development ranging from initial assessment to developing a full marketing campaign in achieving their career goals. His efforts have helped clients succeed in their current professions, as well as those who seek a career transition.
Chip is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management. He holds a Master's degree in Sociology from New York University.
CT MENG job networking meetings are open to marketers in transition, as well as consultants seeking new clients. These meetings are focused on helping each other make new contacts, expand target company lists and gain competitive advantage in the job search process. You do not need to be a MENG member to attend. Please spread the word to your senior level colleagues and contacts, even if they aren't MENG members.
Please bring along: Copies of your one-page summary/target companies, so people know how to help you and business cards.
