Can you can recommend someone for these 4 NYC positions with my Investment Banking client. Feel free to forward on to others. Thanks! These are all Compliance Systems Analyst- Business Analyst positions…not managers… which require strong technical backgrounds. The spec below (Common spec) is for all 4 spots. In addition here is some more details of what is really needed. The client prefers to keep offers under $135k..Ideally under $125k + 15%.....will sponsor..
(1) Trade Surveillance analyst role supporting the Actimize TC model design/implementation and ongoing support. Actimize Trade surveillance support a must. This is role is to help design Trade surveillance models. SWIFT/trade knowledge a plus.(2) AML surveillance analysts role supporting the Actimize SAM upgrade/model implementation and ongoing support. Actimize or other surveillance experience necessary. We are in the middle of our roll-out and product knowledge and skill level of new person are key to product roll-out and time frames.(1) Sanctions analyst role supporting the Fircosoft application and projects. Sanctions experience a must. Sanctions/Fircosoft experience a must COMMON SPEC FOR ALL POSITIONSSystems Analyst-Business Analyst ComplianceProvide day to day support for the AML/Actimize and Transaction Surveillance/FircoSoft programs. Work on enhancements and releases to above systems. Responsibilities:
- Draw out, analyze, validate and manage requirements, flows and deliverables for projects.
- Act as a liaison between technical development and business users.
- Perform analysis to determine and verify business requirements/issues specifications.
- Create and maintain ad hoc automated reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Perform production support for any issues that arise during processing.
- Become the subject matter expert on AML and other Compliance Functions Systems Processing.
- Create and execute test cases and scripts for testing of new code releases.
- Ensure functionality of product meets with business requirements and expectations.
Key Skills:
- Ability to independently manage, organize and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Strong organizational, analytical and design skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong SQL skills across various databases including Oracle, SQL Server and DB2.
- Database: ORACLE, SQL Server, DB2
- Expert in advanced Microsoft EXCEL scripting, Macros and other functions
- Knowledge of database analysis tools like TOAD, SQL Developer, etc.
Other Skills (Nice to Have):
- Write new and maintain existing code & scripts across multiple platforms including Mainframe, Visual Developer, Unix and Linux.
- Mainframe development using COBOL, VSAM, JCL
- Distributed development using JAVA, C#, ASP.NET on Microsoft Visual Studio platform
- UNIX shell scripting
- Knowledge of tools like PUTTY, WINSCP, etc.
- Knowledge of Websphere
- Knowledge of AUTOSYS job scheduler
- AML and or Actimize knowledge – a plus
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data analysis, defining and documenting business requirements and performing
- Demonstrated experience with IT requirements development; systems design, and integration
- Expert analytical skills. Able to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
- A self-starter and team player that is assertive, independent and can manage multiple responsibilities without close supervision.
- Experience working with a Global team.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelors' degree in computer science or other engineering discipline.
- 2-4 yrs of programming experience.
- 3-5 yrs of Systems analysis experience.
